Four years before he became Ward Cleaver, Hugh Beaumont played an ex-con on "The Big Squeeze" episode of The Adventures of Superman on Sept. 25, 1953, in black-and-white.

That intro where he's standing in front of the 48 star flag and the announcer says "fights a never ending battle for truth, justice and the American way" still makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Now in 2019 look at the swamp, the corrupt media, all the totally unethical shit politicians that just care about money/power and not America. I probably shouldn't make this political but Trump may be all that stands between the old America and some new socialist nightmare. We really do need superman more than ever.

Noel Neill (Lois Lane) was cute as button. I had a major crush on her in the early sixties watching Superman reruns.
