It was a trope that something as simple as being hit in the head could cause you to change your personality, kind of like a radio changing stations. It was kind of like a sitcom version of early D&D, where picking up an item could change your alignment or character class. ;)

Such a bad take. No one here isn't a tool for the story. Saying that only the women here were is more revealing about what you think of the story than what it actually is.
@Crow298034 жыл бұрын
@@infernaldisdain8051 uhm, if you read something other than me saying “Joan and Lois was a tool for Larry turning good”, then you have the issue. I’m not talking about the rest of the story, just him turning good. What are you saying? Also Lois forever young. pul-lessee! She could have aged. Women were often used as only tools. Invisible girl always was kidnapped back in the day as well. Also I NEVER said only women in this story. That’s shows what you were reading in my comment. Back in the day, it was mostly women. Now we have Wonder Woman. But back in the day, one of the ways to defeat her was to tie her up. No matter the strength of the material!
@infernaldisdain80514 жыл бұрын
@@Crow29803 Yeah no, everything I said is still valid. Literally everyone plays a role in this story and doesn't have much in actual character. Saying that Lois and Joan are props for the story to use is one thing, but before that you generalize it to all women in the stories of comic books at this time. The Wonder Woman thing is partially because of her creators and their personal ideas and philosophies for the character. Another thing is that she's heavily inspired by myth and legend, where things like being bound by anything CAN depower heroes. Stranger things appear in folklore, like people's hair being used to control them.
