This trailer triggered in me both the good feeling anticipating the 1978 movie and my child like wonder watching the black-and-white George Reeves TV series in early syndication in the early 60s. That goes back to when The world was still a dream. The Batman TV show was my first experience as a fan of a show. I was old enough to understand what I was watching it Superman blended with reality.

@Pyrochase of course! I was mostly concerned about syncing it up with the video and convenience. But also, in editing I watched it on my big monitor and sound equipment maybe 5 or 6 more times.

The Alien looking dude is Metamorpho. I think kryptonite is involved in the beggining when he was weak and beaten up. Maybe some is stuck in him. Im thinking maybe that revolver Lex had, he made kryptonite bullets for it and maybe shot him while he was fighting someone else and some kryptonite is still inside him. Knowing Lex, kryptonite is never far behind.

"oh he looks so good" right before the close-up showing how badly he's hurt is the kind of comedic timing that can't be planned 😂 I'd love more vids about Superman. I started getting more into the character when the "My Adventures with Superman" series came out but still haven't delved into the character much.

yeah, I kinda got caught up how vibrant and great the costume is haha. Superman is easily my favorite and I think you'll really latch onto the character. I have a really good "where to start reading" video for Superman but it's kind of old. I'm thinking of updating it for this new movie. My quick start guide is "Superman: Earth One" for Marvel Phase One movie fans, "Superman Unchained" if you're into the vibe of this trailer, and "The Man of Steel (1986)" for Christopher Reeve fans. "My Adventures" also has a miniseries and "Superman Smashes The Klan" has a similar vibe to the show.

I don’t think Green Lantern and Hawk Girl are part of the justice league. I don’t think the justice league exists yet. If you take a look at the costumes for Green Lantern and Hawk girl they have the same basic uniform. Also the building they’re in is stag industries. I think this might be a situation where Green Lantern and Hawk girl are basically corporate heroes working for stag and Superman is working on his own. I think what they’re going for here is that it’s currently a cynical type of world where a lot of heroes of kind of sold out and Superman is someone who’s trying to stand out and show a new way.

The suicide squad, peacemaker and creature commandos are my favourite pieces of superhero media ever snd thank god they are all csnon to the dcu so bloodsport shot david corenswets superman. I also have a theory that super 2010 the james gunn film is the first dcu film because the crimson bolt is similar to the crimson avenger

@overlord6993 interesting theory. I enjoy theories where unrelated movies can have some kind of connection to eachother and BloodSport shooting Superman was a detail that I really appreciated (right out of Superman #4 from 86ish). I am split, however, over how James Gunn rebooted the DCU except for the parts he was involved in. I felt really stung when Henry Cavill was axed and I can't help but feel he had atleast one more Superman movie in him and Gunn's selective reboot puts salt in that wound, but im excited to embrace this new Superman. He's going to do good things.

I feel like Martha Kent died and Johnathan is gradually getting worse without her. I don't think I've ever seen a Johnathan A) without her, and B) not look either skinny or in shape (I assume farm life does that to you). But this one definitely gives the feel of no longer having his wife.
