They are still reading newspapers, because this isn't our world. This world is mashed with current day and late 70's aesthetics. Almost all of the clothing worn is from the 70's. There are bell bottoms, butterfly collars and clogs everywhere. A lot of the cars, buses and signage are also from that era.

Showed exactly what’s gonna be in the movie (lotta action, wholesome Superman moments, Clark Kent’s life being fleshed out, and a new take on Lex Luther), without showing EXACTLY what’s going on in the movie. Like we have no idea who the villain is or any big comics they’re pulling from, which I love, I’m sure we’ll learn with more trailers but I wanna keep this type of trailer moving forward. Tell me the vibe and theme of the movie, show the actors and what everyone is gonna look like, and some good hook moments, but don’t show us the whole damn movie.

I think we need to stop expecting so many billion dollar movies. I think the market is changing and we’re gonna see less and less. We only had TWO this year! I think we need to come out of the mindset that if a franchise movie doesn’t break a billion it’s “soft”. This goes without saying, but the budgets also need to support this NEW movie market. 6-700 is the new benchmark for franchise movies I believe.
@crestedargo466316 сағат бұрын

Graces ability to crap on anything James Gun does is pretty amazing. At this point if James Gun made the cure for cancer Grace would be there saying "why is the cure that color? I don't know, If I was gonna make the cure for cancer I'd make it glow! and why release it now? Doesn't Christmas seem like a better time to release the the cure for cancer?". Grace, I don't know what James Gun did to you but I hope your ok.

criticism of a big budget superhero film is not personal, and a male content creator with similar criticisms of a trailer would not receive such a comment. but since you are asking about what james gunn has done to grace, he sent a firestorm of hate toward her on social media, totally uncalled for.

Starting the trailer from a position of being injured is brilliant! It’s supposed to alleviate the problems with the Man of Steel. How do you make a good story from a God like Superman? Show him as capable of being injured.

I love you Grace but that’s exactly what a Batman fan would say to a Superman movie lol personally I am for once very optimistic and excited about a Superman film and my opinion on Superman being nerdy is “Clark Kent is who I am and Superman is what I can do” it’s not the other way around like Batman with Bruce Wayne. Being a dorky nerd is what makes him relatable at least to me

MoS had a big open it opened to £116m domestic, it just had a big drop off. The high early interest does show people want to see Superman films, unfortunately the quality has not been there.

4:09 not actually the case. The first Batman was supposed to come out at the beginning of October, but was moved to March. Very similar to the move they pulled with Dune 2, where the opposite occurred and the original did come out in October.

I often don't agree with Grace but i do here. Not a fan of the trailer at all. It's just not good. I think it does look too CW, i also agree with Grace David would make a great Jon Kent. I also don't like the suit. It doesn't have to be a marvel suit but the point of getting the superhero physique is to be able to see it. This suit camouflages the muscles. I appreciate a movie taking Clark back to the hopeful original Superman. Something about the execution is not working for me. I hope in future trailers it looks better.

That's the concept of the first film. Naturally there should be some time progression in the second film. We don't want a redo of the first film. I think it will be similar to the dark Knight, where he's more seasoned in the second film.

I'm in favor of Pa Kent dying, because even though Superman has typically had two parents, in All Star Superman they handle it pretty well, because thanks to his father's death due to cardiac arrest, Clark learns that no matter how much power he has, he can't save everyone, human life is precious, we have to value the little time we have with each one.
@frankenviews406913 сағат бұрын
I think Gunn made a specific choice early on to try to make Superman, more human and vulnerable. It's almost the foundation of his entire take on this Superman. No skin tight clothing with bulging muscles. Gunn wants the audience to see Clark (and in a meta way, Kal El would like the Metropolis public to see him this way too) as not intimidating and not God-like. But very much like the average Joe. Gunn and Clark want to Superman to be seen as "The Good Imigrant/minority" almost to an insecure and paranoid degree.
