Personally I get tired of the "grounded" Batman films. I want them to be like the source material. He's a superhero, not some "realistic" character like Jason Bourne, one who shares existence in a universe full of other superheroes. He's a member of the Justice League. @@AlkalineInsides Well, your not giving the general audience enough credit where credit is due. Audience are not that dumb. Some are but not all of them. Audience will just see that there's more Batman movies to watch and like it or not then move on with their lives. They don't bother diving that deep into superheroes comic lore stuff. Some people just don't care about connection with the larger superheroes universe stuff. Also, one quick google online if they are curious enough about this stuff will tell them about what they are watching the same characters/actors or a different versions. It's not hard rocket science. It's not like the old days without the internet where you don't have many source to look up or find an expert to tell you otherwise in my opinion. Just saying.

Robert Patterson version of Batman isn't very good. In fact they just need to move on. He ran towards a bomb, my biggest problem was the way he treated Alfred in the hospital. You treat your family like that after they were almost killed. It was absolutely disgusting and I was not going to watch this movie again

FYI incase people either dont know or wanna know, The Authority is from the old Wildstorm comics imprint. the same universe that also had Gen 13, W.I.L.D.C.A.T.S., Grifter, and Storm Watch. Many of their characters were merged into the main DC universe during the big New 52 reset.

The problem with putting Pattinson in the DCU is that the feel is more realistic and for a Justice League, Batman needs to have insanely high-tech gear and gadgets like the Bat Jet and the Batmobile. His abilities need to be a little bit more unrealistic than what we have seen from the Batman. The DCU Batman needs a more high tech feeling suit kind of like the one from batman arkham knight. Honestly that game is a great thing to look at for how to do a good Batman that will be fighting against super-powered villians and kicks their asses.

Pattinson can have its own closed batverse stories and also participate from time to time in Justice League events. It is compatible. That is precisely what made marvel work. No one believed ironman could be mixed with captain america or thor, and that is why everyone was eager to see it and it worked. Stop taking the wrong choices for once, let DC work. It makes NO SENSE at all, neither creatively or financially, to have two live action batman at the same time. Pattinson and Corenswet are perfect for each other.

I think with the suit some people hate it. But it's an early version that will get way better possibly. But the dog moment made me forget about it completely and reeled me in. Superman needs to reclaim his status and Top 5 viewed of all time in 24 hrs is a great start.

James Gunn's love of Donner's Superman is one of the reasons I have been excited, he has evidently been inspired by the spirit and visuals of the movie, including the Fortress. I would actually love Pattinson's Batman to be part of this universe, I think there is a way it can work, but only if Matt Reeves has a vision which aligns with it. Otherwise, it should be left alone.

My theory is that Brainiac is the big baddy. He comes to Earth and while Superman is battling with Brainiac he realises that Brainiac has captured and miniaturised cities including living beings from across the Universe. Including Kandor. Superman holds back and potentially (faced with an impossible situation) releases Kandor. This is where Krypto comes from and other Kryptonian life forms.

One thing in the photo with Lex and the 'Dynamic Two-O' is Nicholas Hoult is 6'3". David Corenswet is 6'4" and the guy playing as 'Ulysses'/in black is the 6'4" to 6'5". You can see as much in set photos showing 'Ulysses' perp walking Superman, with the 'Engineer' leading the way. In this photo. Lex is way shorter than Ulysses. This could be Metamorpho. Anthony Carigan is 6 ft. Probably more like 5'11".

I think it's a bad idea to integrate The Batman into the DCU continuity. Matt Reeves undoubtedly realizes that he will have to compromise on his vision for his Batman arc to align with the new DCU continuity. If Batman: The Brave and the Bold is going to be Robert Patinson's Batman, then Matt Reeves will have to have Ra's Al Ghul, Thalia, and Damian worked into his trilogy. How is he going to do that without altering the sensibilities and identity of the Batverse he has established? As it stands now, The Batman teased the Joker, possibly set up The Court of Owls storyline, and the Penguin series put Oz Cobb at the top of the organized crime food chain. Those three things playing out and concluding in 2 movies is reasonable. Adding additional characters for the sake of tying the universes together will make for a bloated, incohesive story. I suppose you don't need to introduce Rha's Al Ghul and family at all and just dave it all for Brave and The Bold. However, I don't think The Batman's sensibilities align with the metahuman world of the DCU. The Batman trilogy would chronologically have to be first in the DCU timeline, or else it raises questions about why there were no metahumans in Gotham during the Reeves trilogy. It's too messy. I don't like it.

I'd rather have Battinson have his own universe. We're well due for a bat family movie, since gunn has already stated this world is already filled with mystical beings it would make more sense to do their own batman universe along side it. I will say Battinsons universe is basically a perfect version of Gotham. Hands down the best on screen version of Gotham. Burton's was very cool, but didn't feel like the kind of desperation that produces a Batman. Nolan's was basically just Chicago lol

I remember hearing that the only appearance of Batman in the movie is a scene of him & Superman having coffee together at a diner. I’m not a fan of The Batman movie but I like the universe that they’ve built and I think it’s hard to believe that Reeve’s dreary, dark, grounded & almost hopeless version of Gotham couldn’t possibly exist in this big bright universe with these larger than life characters that Gunn has just introduced us to. Even knowing that Gotham is supposed to be this gloomy, crime ridden place, these two universes just don’t blend well stylistically, nor thematically & I truly believe it would be a mistake to mesh the two. Just give us Batman The Brave & The Bold!

They never blended together if you read Batman when Superman is in the comic it’s as if Superman does not belong and vice versa but their characters bounce off each other well enough to make the world believable so it should work pretty much the same as comics

@ The key words in my comment were “grounded” & “larger than life”. Reeves makes you believe that everything that happens in his film & spinoff series is completely possible. There’s not one drop of science fiction in his universe. We’ve been introduced to 3 minutes of Gunn’s new Superman or DC-universe & if I had to think of one word to describe it, it’d probably be “fantastical”. Gunn has created a universe full of science fiction, that fans know couldn’t possibly (but hope could) exist. Yes Batman is the doubter, rooted strictly in science, but it’s my strong belief that trying to reconcile the differences between these two universes would only hurt Gunn’s new universe. Keep it Elseworld! Let Mxyzptlk bring Pattinson & his Joker (after Reeves introduces him) into Gunn’s Universe, so Joker & Mxyzptlk can break the fourth wall to talk about how vibrant & different Gunn’s world appears

I'm not entirely convinced that James Gunn can pull this off. And hopefully there aren't too many characters in this mucking it up. He's into these ensemble movies, it being his style.
