He also constantly evolves and adapts to any situation, which is how he was able to beat the Anti-Moniter, another omniversal being by definition. Darkseid's true form has threatened to destroy the entire DC multiverse by falling on it and Superman one shot him. Superman has survived universes imploding, big band style events, and can't be erased from existence as he is a cosmic linchpin to the inter-workings of the multiverse.
