Swamp thing is just one of those characters that everyone thinks is bad but is actually extremely OP if you utilize him correctly.

@@andrewzheng1780 he has two zoning special moves than can grab the opponent, can gain back health and does the highest meterless damage in the game w/o buffs. He's better than you think man.

@@LM-yd1hh I’m currently a top Swampthing player in the world alongside swampkhing crazy fingers and burrito vorhees. It’s not about how good his tool kits are. His bad and good mus determines where he stands on the tier list. 3-7 are redhood, robin, catwoman, and black Adam 4-6 superman, hellboy, brainiac, Batman, firestorm, green lantern, starfire Swampthing has losing mus that’s why he cannot be op. His vine grabs zoning tool is good but you have to use it on read or else you will get punished because his vine grab on whiff is super negative data. Swampthing does not have the highest meter less damage and even if he does. He has to rely on b3 or back 223 to launch an attack which are not mixups whatsoever . His best meterless damage can start with f233 f23 db3 11 df1b . Ideally Swampthing has to rely on his advantage as one of the best neutral characters in the game. His ideal starting combos usually costs meter on launch. That includes bf3 and db2 mb. Which uses meter because you need them to launch for combo potential. So Swampthing has incredible 1 meter damage but lacks the department as a good meterless combo character.

@Ash it opens up different combo routes and does good damage. In reality it's nothing to drop ur jaw at but for a scorpion player its like a trial of passage to fee like a good player to land that combo online at least a few times cause it's so hard lmao
