Bloody roar are 1 of the coolest fight game ever out there (not balance at all) you can block, dodge, side step, aerial recovery as defensive and and offense is even more insane with very simple input, 1 button super even back in the old days, and you can faint attack tricking you opponent. I wish for modern day bloody roar

Bloody Roar 3 is the peak of the franchise tbh. Most people played Extreme/Primal Fury but it had some balance issues at the core. Lots of characters get crazy cool combos and pressure especially at the wall like on that Yugo combo which the Long player couldn't air tech out of because that's a thing. The craziest shit is when people go hyper beast mode which is almost like having 8 seconds of super speed custom combos too. It's basically if Tekken and Guilty Gear had a baby and it's a massive shame it's mostly forgotten.

The MK1 clip had a couple moving parts going on: the Ferra kameo enters the character into a stance that allows multiple actions, one of which is the Pain and Gain buff from MKX which Geras used twice in the clip, and another is the overhead slam used in the clip. Geras can use two bars of meter to activate a clone state that he can use in tandem JoJo style, which did massive amounts of damage thanks to the Pain and Gain buff. Finally, Kenshi lives because the Tremor kameo that he has gives characters 100 extra health to their health pool, which allowed him to barely live the combo.

Scenarios shown like in the clip doesn't happen often at all (characters hitting for nearly 90% damage is barely ever heard of), but things can indeed get wild in MK1 in terms of the moving parts of each interaction.

Shout-outs to Moste and co. for these high-speed uploads. The combos in this episode were great - though my bets fell to pieces in the second half. Yell at me if I ever make another JoJo comment in Sajam's comment section, but I had to check the episode list. The monkey boat was seven episodes into Stardust Crusaders, and the next episode is where man-fighting starts to be scaled back. The one after that is the first Jotaro episode against someone immune to man-fighting. The monkey boat, Star Finger, and the Runaway Girl are some of the worst filler garbage Part 3 has, so Sajam's next (hypothetical) viewing would pick up in a better place.
