Rachel, a top tier BBCF character, is also top tier in BBTag. Basically nobody every gave her the attention needed until recently, so we never got so see how messed up the character is in this game. Like CF, she's still insane.

around 55:38 you say Heart was redrawn completely from Arcana Heart for BBTag but her sprite here (and moveset) is actually just a touch-up of what she had in Nitroplus Blasterz, a much less well known whack ass crossover tag fighter she was in. It's been on Will it Kill a few times, but I don't think a Heart clip in particular was ever shown. When I heard Senran Kagura was getting put in BBTag, I thought for sure it was going to be Homura, since she was actually in NPB too. Was really surprised they made a whole new character for it. Saber was ALSO in that game, and her sprites and moveset in MB Type Lumina are SUPER reminiscent of her NPB iteration, too, but much less directly ported than Heart.

No, Heart's not just a touch-up, she was reworked from scratch to full HD with Examu's help as the devs confirmed in a 4gamer interview.

Apologies but no, Heart's "BBTAG" sprite isn't just a touched version of her "Nitroplus Blasterz" sprite. In fact, the styles between the two are quite different. If anything, it's much closer to her original "Arcana Heart" sprite. You can especially tell based on the proportions of the clothes and the like. There's a good comparison floating around online if you look up Heart's different sprites. I'd link it here but that flags comments for auto-deletion. In a similar vein, Saber in "Type Lumina" doesn't quite play like how she does in "Nitroplus Blasterz". There are some similarities, yes, but both are pulling from how she was in a fighting game that came out before both called "Fate/Unlimited Codes". "Type Lumina" took a more direct inspiration while "Nitroplus Blasterz" went in a bit different direction...though all of them are pulling moves straight from the source material and anime adaptations anyway. Again, there's a youtube video showing direction comparisons if you look for it.

Man, I really wish I liked this game more, because there's a lot of good pieces in there. In particular, I'm kinda bummed we probably won't see the RWBY characters in a fighting game again, because they're all pretty cool in this game. I was just always confused as to why they made it a 2v2 game. It just puts it in a weird limbo. I guess the idea was to make something that wasn't as team focused as DBFZ ended up being first to see what it was like, but even then I'm not sure.

We got rollback, and thank heaven for that, but that's because ArcSys has been eager to get that into as many of their games as they can since seeing what it did for +R and Strive, not because the game is going to get anything else added to it.

I really wish I could like BBTag, the problem with having played every game in this collab is the characters I like in each game feel VERY wrong and awful with the 2 button setup which left me with RWBY only which I wasn't a fan of. I heard they added Arcana Heart and Senran Kagura but it looks like that's only two characters which is a real shame. I wonder who owns the rights to BBTag itself and if it was a specific decision to add only those two
