Like they say, play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Just because you see someone picking up some groceries, and are in the middle of shopping, you don't dare assume the customer is stealing. If you are a store owner and pull such garbage, you can get yourself sued and/or face jail time.

The manager is at fault here because he accused a customer of stealing when she was heading to the checkout to pay for her groceries. First you don't accuse someone of thief if you heading to the checkout it should be after not before. Evelyn was doing the right thing. Compared to some customers here in Australia who have kids with them pulling at the products and destroying the products or opening them and eating them or crushing them now thats stealing.
