I once got to see in the refrigeration room of a supermarket and now I know why I thought the compressors looked like little engines. They are basically similar design right down to having a head gasket.

I agree Sir! Although the fire was caused by oil, so I wouldn't put water on it. But we always have a fire extinguisher with us.

Had visions of that compressor pinning you to the floor😂.Hate brazing in those tight spots I always try to cut the whole piece out and prep it on the bench but sometimes you just got to get in there and cause a bit chaos.Cant wait for part 2👍🏻

at what point do they replace that 30+ yr old pile of trash unit instead of rebuilding it every few years ? i know its a big unit and alot of $$ but the govt wants energy efficient stuff now with modern technology

Oil in the lines. That's the worst one I've had blow out on me. It's impossible to avoid it completely. Biggest thing is just staying calm and letting it burn.

@@jeremiahsanders12 the mechanical room ur working on looks like the store i use to work in. before i became a commercial technician i worked as meat cutter/manager at kroger, i remember specifically the rack room right across looks just like the one i use to work on when i was a meat cutter (the techs were spread thin so we started doing it ourselves with guidance). That wouldnt have been a carrier SCU? Carlyle semis? I use to take a nap on break right next to one eerily similar to that. There was a beer rack on the left of the stairwell u had to go up to get to the SCU
