Wow! I was shocked that Danny & Brandy of Team 1 had 3 minutes and 30 seconds of sweep time and lost to Rebecca & Jaime of Team 3 by $84.

And of course, not only do you get to run wild through the aisles, you also get to go shopping for groceries to take back home with you! And oh, man! We have seen some of them, that they have been a wild sweep!

They wound up getting the cash value of the groceries-- not the groceries themselves. Most of the real groceries used on the show were past their expiration dates and thus no longer usable. In the 2020 version, all food products were real and donated to a food bank upon the conclusion of taping.

@@drewzuhosky6826 What? You mean if say, you get $800 or whatever the cost of your groceries on Supermarket Sweep, you only get that much money. You don’t get the actual food? I kinda thought you did.

@@unclej2763 none of the food was edible after season 1. There are stories of hotdogs and deli meats popping while filming and filling the faux store with interesting smells. Also fun fact only the losing teams got to keep their sweaters.
