Why would any take time to grind a bag of coffee for $100, when in the same amount of time you could find the Manager's Special for $200?

That's a valid question and thought, but I think some contestants would see the ground coffee more of a guarantee. It's because the Manager's Special, although it's worth $100 more than the coffee, you take a risk spending time looking for a marked can and possibly not finding it and coming away with anything.

Love comparing prices (when they show them), and seeing products that aren't around any longer! I heard that the host does shows in casinos, etc. Wish they would bring this show back! 🌈🌈🌈

No. The food is out of date. They get the amount of money that their sweep was worth if they win. Otherwise, they get a consolation prize.

There have been other teams where it was a similar arrangement of in-laws teaming up instead of the spouse, but this game/episode was strange because David Ruprecht didn't ask the team as usual why he's not teamed up with his wife here. He always asks and plays nosy neighbour!
