I won't say why, but it was actually pretty sweet. Three really good meals, all the free time you could ask for, your own toilet and sink. And even a bed. I mean, what more could a guy ask for? Honestly, prison taught me the value of things I'd never known. Not just emotional things like affection and human interaction, but things like chip bags and soda. You can buy that stuff monthly at the cafeteria store, and use it later in return for favors. I got a pin-up tattoo from someone for Gatorade and coffee; literally just Gatorade. Never drank the stuff anyways lol -- but yeah, that, and it taught me that, unfortunately, the people who get the closest to you really can be out to get you. It basically ruined my sense of trust, never knowing anyone's true intentions. Women's prison is a trip compared to men's though lmao

I went to prison in 2015 for shooting a man in the leg in a drug robbery. I am currently on parole for the charges of aggravated assault and robbery. Let it be known that I'm talking Canadian prison. I did two years of a six year sentence and got parole. Its scary at first and you do see some shit that you would otherwise never see. I started in jail but I want to point out that jail was worse than prison. All you have to do is work out eat and fight. Everybody is bored and wants to fight. You have no options but to do your time Where jail has beatings prison has stabbings and murders. But Matt was wrong saying that keeping to yourself makes you a target. Being a bitch makes you a target. But if you mind your own business in prison everybody else is too busy wrapped in their own shitto care about you. If you don't make waves and can do alone time, you'll make it through unscathed. I've seen guys almost killed over jailhouse brews. I've seen guys stabbed over leaving breadcrumbs on. I've been in riots, I've been oc sprayed. I slapped a man with a thumbtack in between my fingers and put a small hole in his face because he owed me money. Prison is a scary place at first but after half a year it becomes comfortable. You will make friends and accumulate property. There were a group of guys I used to play magic the gathering with in the yard. I played smash bros on the n64 with a lifer on my range (who beat me every single fucking game) and got knocked out in the bathroom after I got into an argument with a guy over 007 GoldenEye. You WILL become temporarily racist out of necessity and because the other races treat you that same way (jail is not a PC environment if you can imagine) prison rape in Canada is a myth You would both do just fine in prison. Canadian prison anyway. You are smart yung bois. Matt would probably get beaten up once a month
