I work at a movie theater and worked during the eclipse, I was able to see it though. There were people who actually left their movies to come watch the eclipse; but there was one woman who brought her kids to watch a movie (The Emoji Movie) to AVOID the eclipse, and when she asked me if it was over yet and she seemed absolutely terrified at the idea of the eclipse. She had that terrified smile. She refused to go outside or even let her kids leave. Not the strangest thing I've seen but very memorable.

I think Matt fried his brain by looking into the sun too long. The atmosphere isn't made out of fire, the fire is caused by air friction and there's no air where the iss is so it doesn't catch fire. Also that guy didn't make his own chair, paramotoring is a legit thing and he's completely strapped in.

They're called power paragliders, and they're actually pretty safe if you have a proper one with landing gear etc. If the fan breaks you're connected to a wing that allows you to just glide to the ground. Some even have flotation devices incase of emergency water landing. HOWEVER, you're not allowed to fly high up where aircraft go nor near any airfields or airports. My family has people in it that give lessons lol.

Two thing I saw that were cooler that looking at the actual eclipse: -all the little shadows were crescent shape -if you tried to take a picture of the eclipse with your phone and no equipment, there is a crescent shaped sun spot somewhere on your picture

The reason things ignite in the atmostphere when hitting it is because 1) you're going from a vacuum to an atmosphere at high velocity, it's like hitting a swimming pool going really fast. 2) air friction and the sheer speed of re-entry is the reason things burn up in the atmosphere.

I dunno. The Walking Dead has been running out of steam a good deal, but the current Neegan storyline has done a great deal to add energy and excitement to the series. Yeah, it's a bit weird in places, but I think it's worth checking out for most people. I think the show should end soon afterwards, though.

I glanced at the sun a few times. It was cool. You got to see the eclipse (I wasn't in the line of totality) for a split second before your eyes adjusted and turned it into a giant white blur. I Still have my vision. The "don't stare at the eclipse" thing is only for people near or on the line of totality. If you're anywhere else the sun will still blind you as normal and make you squint your eyes. If you're on the totality your eyes will react as if looking at a shadow, meaning they won't contract and your eyes will just soak up all of the UVs and burn out your retinas.

Your podcast in general has a unique, free-form flavor; there's not really a set topic, y'all just talk about whatever's on your minds.
