He takes care of Baby like another part of the Winchester family because that is what she is Baby Winchester. Sounds cheesy but its true. Main character #3 before Cas was ever mentioned. ♡♡♡ My second favorite character with an amazing back story. She's one of the most important Winchesters. I'd say it's ridiculous that I want to cry over a damn car, this brings back so many bittersweet memories. I grew up as my grandfather's favorite and he was a classic car guy. I was the one he took to car cruises and when he got a '56 Mark IILincoln Continental he let me pick the color for its new paint job. Pap died the January before I graduated high school. Thanks to his dementia he had my aunt take care of the will. He wanted me to have our car. But my aunt sold it only weeks after his first.

As a car guy through-and-through, this is exactly how us car enthusiasts feel about cars, especially classic cars. You stop seeing it as a piece of metal and rubber, and start seeing it as a being. You communicate with each other in a language only you understand, and your car becomes that one thing that never gives up on you, even when everyone else in your life does. The video and your description is spot on. I know a lot of Supernatural fans in the comments like this video for the show and wondering why they're crying over a car, but for genuine car guys like me, this video is relatable on a whole different level. I'm really glad this show showed the car in such a way, that cars aren't always the expensive, materialistic things they're usually portrayed (in TV) and perceived as.

This reminds me of my 95 regal. I was looking into used cars and i found a slightly beat of buick listed for 1000 bucks. The original owner bought her off the lot, just like Baby, but passed away, and ended up in the hands of a resto guy who wasn't into sedans. I checked her out, and with all the other customers waiting to take a look, i bought her despite the dry rotted wheels, cracked dash and awful smell of cigarettes. So yeah, much like John, i bought a deadmans car on impulse, and one day ill have her restored to her former glory. Only main difference is age and mines candy apple red, which is what got my attention in the first place. I saw the listing and thought "I've gotta have that car"

I have my own classic Chevy. A 68 Chevelle. Baby's sister basically. 2 years ago I was in a really severe accident. Crushed cause some jerk on his phone. Everyone has told me to get rid of her. I couldn't. I fired her up last month for the first time. I cried. When you have a car like that like Baby... there's a bond. There's something more then just metal and gas it's home it's safety. It's a part of you. No show has ever depicted that care that attachment as well as supernatural. There are people who drive thier car and then there are people who really DRIVE thier car. They spend their entire lives cleaning tinkering tuning and loving it cause it's not just something to take you to the store. It's something that speaks to your soul. It's just as real and a part of you as your own limb
