Have my own '67 Impala SS. 396, 4-speed, code 'F' Marina Blue, Bright Blue guts. Pretty much the epitome of the 4 fastback years, & I luv' the 1-year-only Stingray-emulating gauge cluster. Should've had that rear bumper straightened after the rest of all your effort(s). As well, you should dye that dash to match the door cards.....that contrast is REALLY hokey w/all that "buckskin" starin' 'ya in the face as soon as you open the door! It's apparent that a definite "clean-up" is in order re. the headliner around the top of the backlight (rear window), plus your door edge piping is lookin' pretty shabby. FYI, 1967 is the ONLY year that the Bel Air tail lights are IDENTICAL to the Impala!

It was a client build on a tight budget... just wanted a decent looking driver so we worked with them on it. I think interior work has been completed though now as this was a couple years ago. Sounds like you have a beautiful car!

@@FNKClassicCars you put it in writing. I will consider this a contract. I will buy another FNK swag bag and we can cut the sleeves off the shirt, give it a plunging neck line. I'll need help tieing the belly knot in the bottom of the shirt. But it will be epic.

The only difference between this and the screen used car is the one in the show is a 4 door hard top and not a bel air. Other than that, basically the same car and I’m jealous either way
@FNKClassicCars Жыл бұрын
Baby is a hardtop sedan Impala vs a post sedan but yes this sedan is Bel Air trim. 67 Impala could be had either in hardtop or sedan whereas Bel Air was post only and Caprice trim designation was hardtop only. This car turned out beautifully. Thanks for watching!

@@FNKClassicCars I guess what I was trying to say is that the main difference between this car and the hero car from the show is that post between the windows being a solid fixture instead of going up and down with the windows like on the hero car. I just used the wrong terminology as I was misinformed. But again, thank you for the correction. It is very much appreciated. Also, I plan on getting an impala to work on in terms of putting a more modern engine, transmission, and wiring in it to make it a more efficient daily driver for someone who doesn’t have tons of money to spend gas. Do you have any recommendations for finding a 4 door hard top with a good body and frame, but basically no guts to it? I know it’s a hard ask, but this car is literally my dream to own and drive daily.

Before Supernatural- Could by a solid one requiring minimal work for $3k. Could get it turned into a replica for $10k. Total investment- $15k After Supernatural- Can't find a junkyard parts car with floor or frame rot for under $3k. Solid base car requiring minimal work is $8k-12k. Getting it turned into a replica is $20k + price of the car. Total investment- $30k-40k The show ruined it

As a builder it's getting harder and harder to find a suitable car to restore for a reasonable price. However, people love what they love and we still try to build these as budget friendly as possible.
