I was explaining to my mom about what Jared was going through and I was near tears all day. I told her that there is a lot of negativity in some fandoms these days and I told her the SPN family is different. We're a family and we support each other. When a friendship has lasted this long it's actually quite hard to put into words what it is that makes you love each other. It is literally something that can't be properly put into words.. J2 have been asked in so many different ways what they like most about each other, and they always have trouble answering, because it is hard to explain. Love is something that can happen in a short time, and yet to try to explain it would take a life time.

Perfect timing on uploading this. Thank you! Even though I've seen most of these clips before, it still made me cry a few times. I can't stand when people on Twitter say that these 3 guys don't like or love each other, that their friendship is all fake. I don't see how anyone can see them at these cons together and believe that. Yes, there's a lot of putting one another down in a joking kind of way (that sadly some take seriously), but if you understand their friendship it all makes sense.

You don’t stop loving someone because of a night of bad decisions. This video came at a great time. Jared padalecki is sometimes the most real actor, because he can be so open with what he’s going through. He’ll regret this, and beat himself up, but it was just a day. A bad day, that sometimes just happens. We get hate for showing our support for him after this, but what else should we do? Forsake him? Hate on him? Smear a genuinely good person? I’m supporting Jared. He’s one of the most open people on supernatural. Much love from Canada ❤️

Thank you too - so many people seem to go to the one extreme or the other, either saying it's not really an issue, or hating on him. The truth lies somewhere in the middle - it was "a night of bad decisions", as you put it, and I hope this will be a wake up call, since we do know he's previously had arguments with customer service people. But we can still forgive him. He's always worked hard to be a better person, and hopefully he'll now work on this aspect as well. I just hope he doesn't beat himself up too much over this.

That was put very eloquently. "A night of bad decisions" is arguably the best way I've seen it expressed since the news broke. No one is perfect, everyone is constantly changing and attempting to improve and become a better person - and as you said, this might be something he chooses to focus on. But that choice must come from within - it cannot be forced upon one person. At this point, we have his back because that's what family does. We don't know the specifics of what happened and nor are we justifying his behaviour. We just know the kind of person he is and that does not match with the actions he chose to make under the influence of alcohol. I too hope he isn't too harsh on himself.

@@SupernaturalConventions Yes, he does need to make the decision himself to change that. As you said, no-one else can decide that. But if he doesn't change this behaviour, he'll be going down a very dark path. Also, I unfortunately can't excuse his behaviour just because he was drunk. Sober-him decided to get drunk, knowing that he may well get too drunk and do something he'll regret. Anyone who wants to drink needs to know what their limits are. They don't just get a free pass because they were drunk. (I personally am still absolutely a massive fan of Jared, because I believe that he is a good person in his core and I am quite certain that he will work on this.) Family to me means that you'll always want the best for that person. Not that you'll always support/condone their actions. Sometimes the best thing to do for a person is to say "Hey. Not cool." I think Jensen & Jared have actually noted that this is exactly why they value each other's friendship so much, because they'll do that for each other, rather than just being "yes men".

I think we all needed this after all the hate Jared's been getting. I love these guys dearly and I love seeing all the support Jared has been getting from the SPN family. We all know how hard he is on himself so I can only imagine how much he's beating himself up over what happened. What those who are being very negative don't understand is we don't know the whole story, which of course doesn't excuse anything, and also that almost anyone who drinks has had a night they regret, I know I have, it was very similar to Jared's. Only we're lucky enough to not have people taking videos of our worst moments and sharing it with the world, a luxury he doesn't have. Hopefully everything will turn out okay and people will realize that drunken mistakes can happen to anyone. Sending so much love his way.

Jared is a freakin trip! And I hope he's okay! When I heard about the whole ordeal and him getting arrested, I literally laughed!! He has been nothing but on the straight and narrow and professional for years on end. He's an amazing role model, actor, father, husband, and from what Jensen has said numerous times, Jared is a giver! He gives until he's gave out! And I haven't lost a drop of love and respect for him! In fact, I think I gained even more respect for him because he's finally let the world know, he's freakin human! Yes, I agree that at this point we only have TMZ's side. But he definitely was arrested. That has been confirmed by others - that means that it's not "innocent until proven guilty" - he's already been proven guilty by the police officers who saw his actions.

Vousie V I see where you’re coming from, and it makes sense. I think all we can do is send him love and support on the basis that we know what kind of person he is - and that is not this. As you said, it was a night of bad decisions. There may be something bigger than just alcohol that’s going on in his life, and it all exploded on that day. It was just being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Sadly, we don’t know any more than this and I don’t want to dig into it. I’d rather hear from him what his side of the story was. At the end of the day, we’re family and will have his back - not supporting his behaviour, but rather in the hopes of guiding him in the right direction.
