No, tobe did the classic slide method, but using 2 fingers instead of 3 because it's cleaner (but riskier)

How do you make the fretboard move so smoothly to the other fretboard during transitions? Are you using multiple key frames?

when people have the board in different spots, it looks like he masked out the board and moved it via key frames. when the position doesnt change, he just does a simple fade
