I decided to get some new mods for GTA 5 on the PC, but I wasn't able to get any of the awesome .lua or .cs mods to work :/ Let me know if there's an easy workaround so I can the MW2 predator missile, super punch, and tsunami mods to work next time!

For those who are curious, I used script mods that work with Script Hook V. I downloaded and used the fire breather mod, the force mod, vehicle cannon mod, and vehicle jetpack mod. I also played as a number of different animals and the Hulk!

merk if u ever fuck up a game right click the gta 5 or any game on steam and go to properties go to local files the do verify integrity of game cache it will re download the files missing if this doesn't work go to the game files delete everything and do the verify thing i said earlier love your videos man keep up the great work

Hey Merk, Whenever you do mods, you want to make sure that you create a backup file just in case it corrupts the original/you want to remove the mod. You can do this by simply Copy+Pasting all of the data PRE-MODIFICATION(S) into a new folder, then use that backup if the files get corrupted on the original. You'll do that by going into the corrupted folder, deleting all of the files inside, and replacing them by taking all the files that are inside the backup and dumping them into the now un-corrupted folder. Make sure to make another backup after you do this, so that you can have a backup for the new original file you just created by doing this. Basically, it's like you died and respawned at a checkpoint. Make sure to create the backup BEFORE you do the mods, else you'll have a corrupted backup, as well. Hope this helps!

Hey Merk, I have a modding tip for you. Since you know where the game files are in your system, make a mass copy of the entire thing and save it somewhere else on your computer. That way, if you fuck something up and don't know how to fix it, you can still get the game back up and running from the last version you copied. Try to keep three copies going - the original unmodded game, the most recent stable modded version, and the newest version while you're experimenting. Just make sure to delete the bad copy (wipe out the entire contents of the game file without deleting the file itself) before you bring the good one back over, otherwise the file location that the computer has won't work and you'll have to reinstall. There's a way to get it to work without reinstalling, but its much more complicated.
