Hi Mark full love and respect for you, The Nozzle was actually supposed to sit flush to the end of the eartips, you didn't push the stock tips deep enough acording to the instructions. Actually not sure if it was in the instructions or just the marketing material so people could have actually missed that tidbit of info. ❤ I did a short mod using those useless Final E rubbers adaptors, quick fix , much better for comfort and let's you install any eartip properly. It also played a big part in the tuning, staging and treble for me. Definitely a bit different one that needs some special attention, but if you do oh boy!

I really appreciate always starting with fit and comfort, because there are enough well-priced, good-sounding IEMs out there, that I'd basically only ever consider sets that are widely-considered to be well above-average in comfort. The lack of flexibility with eartips and ear shapes makes this an instant nope even before getting to the sound quality.
@SuperReview2 ай бұрын
Yeah that's kinda how I feel about this one. The sound is good, but not really exceptional, and not really worth the fit sacrifice for me. Moondrop S8 I prefer sound and fit.
@rem7922 ай бұрын
I think the industry needs to change. They just keep getting bigger and pressure buid up is also an issue with most IEMs.
@zrad092 ай бұрын
Yeah same, especially after he showed how it looks with the Spring tips. The ones I use are even shorter than the Spring tips. If these nozzles stick out of the Spring tips, these nozzles will be hitting the inside of my ears with what I use. Also from when he described the fit, it looks like it has that "joystick in your ears" fit, with the eartips basically carrying the entire IEM, which I'm not a fan of

Hmmm…the Cantor prototype I heard last year had standout vocals that reminded me of Diva and Z1R. Can’t wait to try the final version in a few weeks. And, those micro plastic boxes to store tips are hilarious, in a good way. With this sort of fit requirement, Cantor could possibly be a candidate for custom tips or a custom shell, if Aful ever offers one.

As long as people still believe more drivers = better sound quality they will keep on adding drivers.
@or1on892 ай бұрын
@@ManicMindTrickthe problem with BAs is that they excel at covering very small frequency ranges. So for a resolving and natural sounding BA headphone you need a lot of drivers indeed. The same quality probably can be achieved with a tribid with 6 drivers, since the DD would cover a lot of limitations and the EST are more versatile in the upper range. But for full BAs, the more you add the less weird it sounds. In fact I don’t understand how that approach is so popular, there are a lot of diminishing returns.
