Just for the curious, Oneplus, Oppo and Vivo are all one group of companies owned by BKK Electronics, a very long established Chinese company that began life making Nintendo clones for the Chinese market. There's not just crossover of Oppo and Oneplus, the phones are manufactured in the same factories side by side, along with Vivo. They all share many components. Think of it as detergent. Buying Daz or OMO, doesn't matter, all made together by Proctor and Gamble or Lever Bros or whoever with different colours thrown in.

Brian M that's not true, Vivo is completely separate from Oppo. As in completely different offices etc. Oneplus is under Oppo and they practically work together. So Oppo and Vivo are under BBK while oneplus is under Oppo.

Pedro Gomes Actually what you say is not true. BBK Electronics are still the majority shareholders of Oppo & Vivo. Designs of OnePlus phone's usually follow closely to the designs of Oppo phone's but that doesn't make Oppo the owner of OnePlus. BBK Electronics own Oppo so that would make them the owners of OnePlus even if what you say was actually true. Also if you looked into who actually are the shareholders of OnePlus the founder Pete Lau and co founder Carl Pei own a very small percentage of the shares. The majority of the OnePlus shares are owned by BBK Electronics & there subsidiaries. That makes BBK Electronics the parent company of OnePlus.

I played with a Oppo R11 demo unit a few days back, and noticed that the "telephoto" camera kicks in at the 2x mark rather than the 1.6x mark like the OP5. If there is a camera comparison, it would be great to see the difference in quality between them. :)

Oppo R11 and OnePlus 5 look similar but they have way too much similarity to the iPhone 7 plus. This is even more apparent on the Oppo R11 because of it's striking similar UI with iOS.

Thanks for your video :) I have one huge question that I can not get any answers for and that is why can't you install 3rd party apps on oppo phones or set default apps like launchers or a messaging app? My girlfriend is pretty angry as she can't even set a different launcher on her Oppo R9 S Plus, well she can but it won't stay set as the default launcher... I am thinking about rooting the device but I should not have to.. Kinda sux. I was thinking about buying the same phone at the time but I am lucky I didn't as I am a bit of a power user lol I would have lost it... Thanks.
