Thanks SuperSimpleDev! ❤After struggling for 1 year with complicated tutorials, I finally learned Javascript! I did with the help of your videos and a few good books. I got hired this week and I'm here to say thank you! Edit: For those asking, I learned with the books 'Javascript In Less than 50 Pages' for the basics and 'Head First Javascript Programming" to develop my knowledge. Learning anything else becomes much easier after that.

This video brought me to tears. I’m not even joking. I’m in an introductory HTML/CSS course at my college. I’m one of few, if not, the only person who didn’t already know javascript before the class. My teacher is terrible. She doesn’t even bother to discuss the actual code we need to learn for each assignment. It is so stressful, especially since I have a genuine interest in front end development. I’m not a tutorial person. I’m the kind of person who clicks on the shortest video (or better yet, Google, because reading is even faster!) every time I learn how to do something. But in my first week of this class, when I was truly overwhelmed and so very lost, I have no idea what I was thinking, but the first video I clicked on was your 6 hour long HTML/CSS course. That was the first time it all made sense. I truly get it when you teach me a concept, and I feel like I understand things at their core in your videos. The tutorials were just the right blend of review and challenge. It just worked. Then came the big bad monster I was dreading this week: javascript. I was doing really well, maybe even better than my classmates for the first half of the semester, largely due to your course. I knew that would come to an end as soon as we started js. As the day arrived for my first assignment using it, I resolved to settle for copying code and crossing my fingers, putting it off and off and off until today, the last day before the assignment. I spent hours, many, many tutorials, and a whole lot of mental stamina, and at the end I was still copying code. As I was voicing my woes to my mother, I said to myself, “I just wish Simon had a js course.” So, with little faith, I searched for your channel, and there it was. This video. The exact one I needed, exactly when I needed it. I clicked on the video, and as soon as I saw that face, one second in, I teared up and I had to pause. You are doing something truly special here and I appreciate you so, so much. I would not be the developer I am today - or even a developer at all, likely, without you. Thank you. I am so looking forward to diving in. P.S. Sorry if this reads terribly. It’s like 1 am so I’m having trouble constructing sentences but I wanted to mark my appreciation in this moment anyway.😂

Im only 1.5 hours in and i can already tell this guy knows how to teach!!!! I've watched other videos and most others seem to have a expectation that the person watching already knows the basics even tho their video is tilted for beginners, this guy is not skipping the fine details that really help you to understand why you are using a piece of code, most other tutorials I've watched i felt like i was just copying code without being given the context and feeling like "ok, i made a web page, but i dont understand how it translates into other projects" where with this guy I'm following along and actually feeling like im understanding its application into other uses, this guy really is good at explaining this stuff!

Hi there! I am also a student, trying to learn some backend with python and django. And some days ago I sumbled across a video, where a person said that it would be great for backend student to have frontend teamate and vise versa(there are some good reasons for it, if you are interested I will give them). I have no one like that among my friends and just I decided to find some comments of students, who learn front-end. Together, we can build some projects, that have both frontend and backend, and do not care about learning each-other's part. Btw, English is not my native, sorry for mistaces(I know there are definitely at least some, right?🤫)but I think that's enough for us to communicate and give each other some bennefits. If you are ok with all of that, you can just write back here. P.s.: It is ok if you are only learning, because I am too and we both will have time to learn our stuff before jumping right in into all of that business-logic, jira, git and so, so on. 😉

@@phutureproof I'll answer for him. In my opinion, this teaching style caters to certain individuals. I've tried freecodecamp and Zero to Mastery but those felt slow. Maybe it's the small things like the fact that he started with the math here and I hate math so getting that out of the way first was perfect. Let me eleborate on the way my mind works: I tried college a decade ago and took my first CS course. I "built" a website but it wasn't satisfying and I had no idea why I was paying for that education if I was searching for solutions to problems on my own anyway. I like taking the approach of learning things from different angles and perspectives, especially when my interest isn't there or isn't quite focused. I completed the freecodecamp HTML & CSS modules. I watched the complete Harvard CS50 lectures. I even jumped ahead and watched the updated freecodecamp MERN stack video. The same goes for my other interests like cooking and biology. I'll watch three different recipe videos and reference a cookbook before deciding on how i'll prepare the dish. I'll watch podcasts with different speakers on a certain topic in biology, read books, and look at research papers. Maybe I have ADHD. Maybe i'm not cut out for software development since certain topics don't hold my interest. It isn't until I see how everything comes together that I get invested and excited about something.

I decided to learn coding on December 2022 and I came across your HTML and CSS course right away here on KZbin. I finished your course and followed everything step by step and now I can say that I have a really good understanding of HTML and CSS because you explained the subjects in a very simple way. then, I searched for a JavaScript course that's suitable for a beginner like me who had no information on it whatsoever, but I found none. I decided to wait and I enabled notifications from your channel in case you uploaded your JS course and you finally did! I'm only at the beginning and I can already see how informative and organized this course is! Thank you for your efforts Simon! We appreciate it❤

Just leaving my daily timestamps here: Day 1 07/05/2023 - 2:42:29 (skipped most of JavaScript's basics and focused more on lesson 5 and the calculator exercise.) Day 2 07/06/2023 - 4:34:43 Day 3 07/07/2023 - 5:51:42 Day 4 07/08/2023 - 7:12:03 Day 5 07/09/2023 - 8:21:17 Day 6 07/10/2023 - 9:26:37 Day 7 07/11/2023 - 10:16:21 Day 8 07/12/2023 - 11:02:26 Day 9 07/13/2023 - FINISHED!!! - will do the last challenge exercises and then continue to part 2 tomorrow, update: next week would be the return of my class hopefully I get to finish the part 2 in time as well :) . Again, I appreciate you Simon for all the effort. Hello fellow simon, I just wanna say thank you genuinely for doing this course for free. The quality of your videos is too good, the way you teach is so easy to understand, and the progression of challenge exercises from simple to complex are so fun to do. I'm glad that KZbin recommended your HTML CSS course as I was lost on where to start and learn web development during the summer break. Now It's starting to get more interesting when applying what I've learned from HTML CSS to make it function through Javascript. Hopefully I get to finish the course before the start of our class and soon build my own website portfolio

ex-dba here! I've always wanted to transition into either being a front dev or a full stack (still testing the waters) but I was always stuck in the tutorial hell filled with things that I already know (programming foundation 101) or tutorials filled with some overly complicated explanations where I immediately lose interest. What I was searching for was a tutorial on HOW to apply my programming foundation into an actual project and this course was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so so much for this detailed course, I'm beginning to see the light that I can do this transition that I've always been dreaming of. Now, off to your other courses. This is nothing short of a monumental act of charity. A lot of people are going to be putting you in their prayers of thanks and praise. I am doing a multi-run over this series, I've finished the first run for notes about syntax convention, data structure, data movement and finally best practices. Now I'll run back over it for the exercises (to get myself use to the thought processes for algorithm formation and the formality of document formatting). I find this to be faster and fresher for me than the way I did the HTML and CSS series. I'm more of a programmer than a illustrative designer, so I did find the JavaScript series more galvanising. This is such a well done series (both JS and HTML/CSS) on web development that I found myself wondering how I would have been able to explain it as well as you; by that I mean the way you chose to order the series and how well one topic led into another. I can't imagine any bootcamp being better with respect to fully kitting out an individual to the level of being able to produce their own highly interactive frontend. From here people can learn frameworks should they wish or APIs and seamlessly integrate that knowledge with what you have taught here. I'll be looking at some backend frameworks after this. If you hadn't already given so much I'd be cheeky enough to suggest that you give a tutorial on constructing teaching courses, because this has been a masterclass. God bless.

I'm a graduate of a college computer programming program and starting a job in DevOps in May. I'm taking this whole course from the beginning because even though I did learn JavaScript in one of the courses, I am terrible at it. To me, it's incredible how much very basic stuff they just failed to mention. This is my first time hearing about template strings and before now I didn't understand why someone would use backticks for a string, even though I knew it could be done. I see backticks getting used in quite a few other languages and now I'm wondering about that too. Thank you SuperSimpleDev. I'm going to be very job-ready thanks to you.

This KZbin class has proven to be the most beneficial one I've come across thus far. It offers clear and easily understandable explanations, making it particularly suitable for beginners. The instructor delves into topics with great details, enhancing my understanding and ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. Additionally, the instructor's clear tone and pace make it especially beneficial for foreign learners. Overall, this is an excellent class for beginners without any prior knowledge of computer programming languages. I highly recommend it.

I do have one question for you. I am learning programming language because I want to break into the IT field for my first entry job. I would like to seek advice from you regarding how a non-computer science fresh graduate breaks into the IT field? Thank you once again😁

Thanks! I've actually completed all lessons. I'm next going to do your CSS course. Best JavaScript course I've been able to find, it's amazing that you've made it free. Thank you so much.
