Great to see your report this morning. I've used the CX in .375 Raptor reloads, so very positive result for the 8.6 BO, especially the low SD.

super helpful video! i really enjoy watching as there is hardly any information about 8.6! Wonder if you could try the barnes tsx 285 grain basically as a substitute light subsonic bullet to the eld m from hornady. would love seeing more subsonic 8.6 in general! keep up the great work educating all of us

My experience with CX is inconsistent performance on game. They harvest but the damage in some cases is horrible because of tumbling. But I believe Barnes is a better all around performer. Thanks for testing these.

@@michaelrocole7174 That’s pretty accurate from all my testing too. Did you have a pet load you wanted me to use for the bullets you sent?? I’ll be loading on those later this week. 😉

@ for hunting the Gas Checked I run them hard tissue displacement is impressive and always an exit. These bullets are also great for bear defense which I believe you will see because of the penetration. Use your favorite loads. The Keith style I run lower around 44 Special velocities. Have fun enjoy. Looking forward to it .

Yeah Hornady really seems to treat their monolithic bullets like red headed step children. “ELD-X is the greatest thing since the invention of smokeless powder. Also, we have the CX if you’re in California or for some unfathomable, unholy reason want to spurn our magical messiah bullet. Please ignore the absolutely litany on complaints about ELDX performance. Those are just faithless infidels trying to besmirch our savior.”

The delayed expansion could be the numerous tracks already in the block. The bullet would have less pressure acting on it if it was in or near another track. Just a thought.

looked through videos but maybe just looked over it , Have you done anything with the maker 220gr round nose expanding bullet?
@kentuckyrangetime18 сағат бұрын
@@cornerstonearchery5123 I have not. I didn’t know they were making a 220 for 8.6. Now I’m about to spend more money on bullets…… 🙄😉. Might be a bit before I get a video out but I’ll grab a box of these to test.

@ I'm on the fence on the 8.6, looking at mos tek 12 in and the porq chop

@@cornerstonearchery5123 I’ll be completely satisfied with my 8.6blk if I can find that 1 good super load that groups in the 1-2 moa range or better and decent expansion out to 150yrds. The Maker TREX may be that bullet. My only reservation was the 350 has a max velocity of 1,050fps but quit expanding around 875fps in my gel test which is about 120yrds.

Berger bullets , fantastic because they tumble and cause massive damage! Hornady bullets horrible, because they tumble and cause too much damage 🤬
