I’ve been on five cruises now. Royal and Celebrity. I’ve always wondered about the Ritz Carlton. Their base cabin is the equivalent of a junior ocean suite on a standard higher end cruise ship with appx 3000 people. The Services is exactly the same one and cruise ship. There are people who tend to your room. Some are better than others I imagine, but we’ve never had an issue with anyone. This sounds like great value for money.

I have been on Evrima for 5 nights in Feb 2023. Enjoyed it so much, doing it again for 7 nights in March 2024. 298 guests MAX! No shows, no casino, no all day overhead announcements, no roving photographer, to name a few things. Sit back, relax and enjoy the Ritz Water! The food is fantastic. Service top notch. We stayed in a Signature Suite, plenty of space. Nespresso coffee makers in all suites. They will stock your in room fridge with what ever you’d like. The great thing, it’s all inclusive!

It’s very very much exactly like a cruise ship. Just less activities to do. The cabin was pretty but not higher end than a suite on Royal, Celebrity, or a Carnival Excel class ship. Looks very much like a mini cruise ship so I really like it! Thanks for the tour!

Ritz Carlton is one of my favourites for luxury accommodation, they have a program which allows you to buy anything you like in there hotels (Paintings, Sculptures,Linen , furniture or even the mattress) which is cool, First time seeing there cruise, looks like a much better cruise option as well (Traditional cruises are too chaotic for my liking). Great Video, Happy New Year

I went on a Alaska cruise with NCL in the Haven and it’s very intimate limited amount of suites for that area. Has its own pool and jacuzzi. So you’re never going to be too many people around. Plenty of entertainment if you so desire outside the haven. It was a great experience for the $$$$. Great video by the way was thinking of trying Ritz.

Worked as musician on cruises large and small. Italian, Brit, Hong Kong (exclusive first class) and even Russian cruise lines (also smaller) and a lot of fun. There’s fun on either but did prefer the smaller more intimate atmosphere. But with the Ritz Carlton it’s certainly a step up in design and would definitely try it out.

If you want to try a slightly bigger boat, Regent Seven Seas is a good line that is similar, but you are on a slightly bigger boat, ~700 passengers. The bigger boat means more entertainment, including a casino, and more restaurant choices. The bigger boat is slightly more stable on the water.

The best way is to fly or drive to the spot and rent a car or use your own and be on your own schedule.

OK we are missing a lot here. Its the other cruisers on the ship. They will probably be older, wiser, well mannered, interesting, sophisticated and other positive adjectives of class. These are not the party hard crowd. Nor will they be the crowd that tries to impress you with themselves and what they have. They don't need to do that. The conversation should flow easily with your fellow cruisers and they will be world travelers with lots of good stories and tips to exchange with you and as we found on Azamara you will probably make friends with at least one couple and our Friends are from Sydney Australia and its so nice when you have friends in far away places looking forward to seeing them and we did and had a wonderful time and have kept up our friendship. They are coming to see us later this month. Just my two cents. PS I'm like the above and I fit perfectly with them. But to be honest. Ritz is a bit too steep for us, not that we could not splurge, but we have found you will meet the same people on Azamara and other lower luxury lines as I have mentioned and other lines if you stay in the Retreats, etc. Just my two cents. So no flames, I'm tired of people taking pot shots. If you have a negative comment, please do it in the vein of a discussion rather than a diatribe or attack.

@pistonburner644810 ай бұрын
What kind of yacht do you suggest he could've rented, including all expenses, with that sum of money? Your assumption of 10 people or Rob's actual number of 7 people: at $4200 a pop, that means $42000 or $29400 total...you can't get much of a yacht for that.
@kylem32410 ай бұрын
@@pistonburner6448With seven people, you don’t need a 100’+ monstrosity. Between 30-50k there’s plenty of crewed options whether motor or sail between 60-80’ or even 50’ with a cat that could provide a pretty great experience. Better if you mainly want to be around your friends, or have the opportunity for access to smaller islands, and easier excursions to land. These smaller yachts are able to drop anchor so much closer to shore.
@pistonburner644810 ай бұрын
@@kylem324 Again: which yacht do you suggest is the same value? That was the whole point: I know you can get some old, tiny, under-staffed boat for about the same, but the equivalent level of yacht for 7-10 people costs massively more. Even with smaller boats if you're trying to charter a fresh luxury yacht with proper high-level staff they will cost much more than this Ritz-Carlton yacht. Smaller yachts do not offer the same comforts, amenities, options, toys, choices etc. A 60-80' tub is tiny, with very little space, far lower comfort, etc... Not to mention some people deliberately want some new people around to socialise with. For anything near equivalent you're paying $100K, and I still don't call that really equivalent as there's hardly any space in the cabins or on board, nowhere near the same comfort, etc... Remember: listed charter prices don't contain anywhere near the full price you end up paying.
