The R8 is for people who know about cars. Exotic rentals are for people who don't, let's be honest. The kinds of people that pay stupid money for a hideous 'Mannsory kit' are the ones you want to focus in on. Maybe an 'entry level' sports car segment for much lower prices for enthusiast rentals could be worth a try? Track day packages, etc. It can work with the right vehicles, just look at Nurburgring rentals, couple BMW's, couple Porsches, maybe a track spec hatchback, things like that.

There's a 2012 r8 on turo in PA for $350 day with 150 miles included (2.22 per mile over). $608 after fees and insurance (500 deductible, [530/day if you want a 3k deductible or 467 if you wanna decline insurance]).. don't forget, I'm pretty sure Rob doesn't include insurance. If he does, I'm sure it's a lot more than a $500 deductible. 2023 in OK for 470/day with 150 miles 2018 in FL for 400/day with 200 miles 2018 in AZ for 400/day with 200 miles 2018 in FL for 332/day with 200 miles 2017 in FL for 236/day with 150 miles 2020 in TX for 233/day with 150 miles I think you get the hint... as usual, Rob's are the most expensive by a lot, with the least amount of miles (and most expensive per mile over by far)..and no insurance included.

Without a doubt, this year will be worse than the last. I lost a lot of money last year as a result of bad investment choices that I would not have made if I hadn't been so worried about my portfolio. Amateur Comment : Just saw on DriveTribe that you can pick up an R8 in the UK now for less than £30,000. And they all look the same regardless of year. I don't get your prices, I have had to fly to Orlando a lot this year and I always rent 6 figure cars from Enterprise that are in that special row, 7 Series, Maseratis etc, and with the best insurance you can get from them I pay like $125 or so a day. Factoring in you are a small operation and all the problems and costs associated with that I would saw $200 to $250 a day would be fair for that R8. $500 a day as a half off rate seems insane. I bet if I haggled with Enterprise they would probably even reduce my price a little but I have never bothered.

For me it's the styling. It's just not as good looking as the rest of the fleet. The belt line is too flat, the windshield is too high angled, the nose is a bubble rather than a scoop. Probably makes for great visibility from inside, but it suffers visibly from the outside. It looks like a Huracan crossed with an F150.
