As an Arab woman the henna part is SO relatable! there's a legend in arabia that says if you put Vaseline OR olive oil (cure for everything) and lime on your henna and then plastic wrap it it comes out darker! there's also the belief that if your henna is dark you'll get married soon LOL

I have never heard about the 1st one but the rest i have heard of ... Like whenever i am going to a party my mother always apply some kajal behind my ear to keep bad vibes away from me ...😂😂 The rest we don't believe in them .... there are some other superstitions that my mom believes in like you should not wash you're hair on Saturdays and Thursdays because you will loose money and you should not purchase black on saturdays and that you should not apply hair oil on Saturdays blah blah blah😂😂😂😂

Actually the henna thing is sort of true, because if you do a lot of work, like hand related work then your hands are harder and the skin is less protected, so it is much easier for the henna to imprint the color on the hand, because the skin is damaged. So, basically since you will do a lot of house chores, your mother in law will like you. However, this is only for natural henna because most henna has chemicals that will imprint it on any skin.
