Rating: 10/10 Review: THIS is how you make a narratively-driven youtube video. The density of content is what makes this video so re-watcheable (I've already watched this vid 3x) The "overwatch 2 sponsor" starting theme of super going through the 5 stages of grief is so perfectly intertwined with Seagul's clip, and a back-and-forth type conversation with funny clips at 0:54. I think there is a delicate balance between switching between media too frequently vs too infrequently and moving the 5 stages of grief storyline too slowly or quickly; so many OW youtubers just become clip channels and would paste Super's monologe in without any meaningful narrative editing, only adding sound effects and clips inbetween with seemingly no reason, just cause the clips themselves are "funny". Injecting them in times that makes sense is so entertaining. IK this section was only 2 minutes, but it was just so perfect. Overwatch itself is a narrative game; there are highs and lows and the game is fun when what is in your control goes how you expect and what is out of your control adds narrative depth; some examples are the funny 2:10 clip about top NA play, 3:00 and 4:15 ass kiri ult and the AWESOME rewind animation to show a backstory almost, 4:02 clip of expectation vs reality and pge's comment, 5:17 clip of pge grieifng and the arrow to show viewers what to focus on since there was so much going on, 5:44 funny as fuck moment, 5:54 line of "FIGHT THIS" goes hard, 7:15 was so funny cause its just super on his iron throne alone and gets nuked lmao, my only part of the video I disliked was the 10:33 transition to the end clip of the video. I dont think there necessarily needs to be an end clip, there should if it adds narrative clarity or surprise or a hook; i feel like the fact you needed to add the "color screen change" before the clip just shows how out of place it is. Good shit steffay.
