Super is the only streamer I know that doesn't avoid players at all. He also rarely blames his team for losses, because in doing so you shift all blame from yourself, makes you unable to work on your own mistakes. I find that he has a good mindset to play and improve.

@@ettubrute197 this isn't a plat game, these players are some of the best players in ranked. that sym knows very well that sym is not the right pick, you screaming at him will just ruin the vibe and make everyone perform worse. notice how his teammates play around the sym instead of against him, they say "focus the pharah because she renders the sym useless" instead of asking the sym to switch. ofc the though of asking for the switch crossed their mind, but they know that bringing it up is useless because they wont say anything that the sym doesn't already know. thats why asking for someone to switch more than once and/or with an aggressive tone in higher ranks is basically throwing since you're just putting unnecessary pressure on your teammate and not contributing with new information.

While onetricking is not in and of itself a bannable offense, it’s my humble opinion that when a one trick refuses to switch, or even at least COMMUNICATE with the team to let them know how to play around them (the sym in supers team did not communicate), that should be bannable or at least looked down upon. I personally love heroes like sym, Moira, etc. But if I realize that I’m actively contributing to the loss, I switch, or I try my best to communicate.

@@murlocow2996 I completely 100% get that - the trouble is that some Symmetra mains act the fool when it comes to "oh this team didn't cooperate with me" -- many teams don't know how to play around a Symmetra so as a Symmetra main it's basically our job to try and make a team at least semi aware of how they can help us - like at the start of a match I'll always say "Hey guys - I'm a Symmetra main, could we possibly get a shield tank and a Mercy?" I'll also try and make call outs whenever I can like "I'm gonna TP in the back line and we can ambush them" but I will 100% agree with you that Super's Symmetra was utter trash - I may not switch off of Sym for a hitscan (Torb is my back up - I know I'm only in high gold but sometimes I do have an opinion lmao) but I am open to switching to different heroes, I just prefer the style of gameplay Symmetra can give as it suits me (my aim is not the best so sentries' slowdown help me stabilize my shaky hands and Photon Barrier allow me to protect my team and feel like I clutched out something worthwhille) - Sorry fr the long post - I just wanted to explain without sounding like a total cunt

I’m glad there’s people like you in our community who strive to clear the name of symmetra mains. Not gonna name names, but there are several popular sym main yourubers and streamers who, imo, set a bad example for aspiring sym mains and tarnish the name. They have an attitude of disdain for their team by default because of their past experiences with toxicity by default, but they’re only exacerbating the issue. True understanding will come when sym one tricks and mains-and everyone in general, for that matter-learns to work with the team and communicate well in spite of toxicity they have faced and might face.

When I play Sym I always try and keep an open mind and always ask people if they think I should be doing something differently (obviously I get a few "Yeah, you shouldn't be playing Sym" every now and again but most of the time they're genuine corrections, comments or suggestions which can help with my overall gameplay) There are absolutely several popular Symmetra mains with a persecution complex. Not everyone in the world is oout to get you - yes, there are some who will just bash you for playing Sym but I feel like arguing back isn''t the way to get things done - and arguing in comp certainly isn't the way to do it. Whilst sometimes I do get heated and swear, the great majority of the time it's like "Oh carp I is dead." - Overwatch is meant to be fun, hence why I play with friends and we just have a laugh and a joke - I feel like this game has lost the spirit of friendly collaboration over the years and that's something that made the game so AWESOME
