Had no idea Shawn Baker was featured on this channel lol. That's crazy, good to see my interests coming together in one place. Before i watch the video I'll say that most people overlook BEEF (and eggs) as a superfood because it's not common to look at its nutrition profile and understand it the same way we look at other foods and macros like vegetables. But if you look at the amino acid profile and understand the role of Tryptophan, N-acetyl cysteine, and choline (eggs are a top source, precursor to acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter/modulator for dopamine). If you eat a diet high in meat and offal, you don't really need supplements. I stopped using whey protein powders which cut out a TON OF CALORIES, and the result has been much leaner, much more relative muscle mass.

Most people that live in northern latitude are Vitamin D deficient, and I know many folks, myself included, that saw genuine improvement from supplementing with 5000 IU's a day during the winter. Not needed during the summer if you spend at least an hour outside. Vitamin D supplementation also had a profound beneficial effect on elderly Covid patients in several countries that used it. High dose Vitamin C also has a profound affect on disease outcomes, and there is an abundance of literature on this going back many decades. These guys are great resources and mostly right about an excellent diet providing most of what an average person will need, but they might not be fully informed about the critical importance of both D and C during cold and flu season in northern populations and the enormous amount of data supporting use of these vitamins.

@knockingseeker2 жыл бұрын
@@bestactionmovies1 Blue zones are the places on earth where the most people get past 100 years old. They are Okinawa, Japan; Sardinia, Italy; Nicoya, Costa Rica; Ikaria, Greece, and Loma Linda, California. If you research them youl see the eat some meat but not a lot, a lot less then most people. Yes meat is acid forming in the system but the system is very good at balancing this out. its more over time that this causes issues. The saturated fat in meat also damages our arteries, the protein might too but not as much as the saturated fat. So the best diet is plant based and if you choose to eat animals eat more fish 3-4 times a week and chicken or red meat 1-2 times a week but the lean parts not the fat, unless its a special occasion haha. Most of the meal should be vegetables fruit, wholegrains and legumes then when ur full on that you can eat some meat. tats how the blue zones eat.

Eating allot of meat will not have any issues with joints. It will help them. Meat, especially red meat, is the most bio available food on the planet. People often have less bowel movements eating red meat as so much of it is so easily absorbed into your system. You will not have any waste products in your blood from eating meat and the additional nutrients will help them. Meat is very anti-inflammatory.
