I will always remember: at one of Roger's concerts in London he was closing with this song, and I looked over at the man in the next seat beside me. He was on his feet dancing and singing along with every fibre of his being, with bright twinkles in his eyes, teardrops falling from the corner of his eyes. I could see how this song had touched him, and in turn it also touched me deeply. After the song, I reached over to give him a hug, and we've been friends ever since. Roger's music is very special in that way!

Supertramp played in Austin tx when this song came out. Right before the show it rained really hard. Just about everyone had an umbrella with them that night. When they played the raining song,the entire audience broke out the umbrellas. It was truly magical. If only there would been a camera to record it and a KZbin to watch it on
@jtrinidad-fw3zz5 ай бұрын
I was at that concert. My aunt and uncle took me at the last minute because they had an extra ticket. We drove through heavy rain to get there. It was a once-in-a-lifetime “concert” moment, watching from the balcony as all those umbrellas opened and swayed to the music. That night, we were shocked to learn that Roger Hodgson would be leaving Supertramp at the end of that worldwide tour in ‘83. He announced it on stage, wearing a crinkled white suit. Supertramp was never the same after that, and I’m so grateful I was there to witness their live musical greatness before they fractured away.

Sorry you lost the physical part of an amazing being, your mom, yet (coming from experience) I'd say, you didn't lose her love, that will never leave you, and she took yours with her. According to The Book, everything will perish, but love will be forever with no ending... Remember everything about her, her smile, her soft voice, cooking your food, how many times she kissed your boo-boo and you felt better... I know we'll cry for them, but crying is also good, it shows we care, even when it's been a long, long, long time (I was twelve) but then again even when I cry I know I'll be ok, she told me that, with her soft voice, and I felt her love. Have faith, in a dream (this is real) when I was going through a very hard time, and had noone to go to, she came over and my head was on her lap like I used to do when she was here with me and once again, I felt her love, it's been a couple of years of that, her love helped me go through, your mom loves you and love does miracles...

I'd be honored if some Supertramp/Roger Hodgson fans would check out my acoustic piano & vocal cover of ITS RAINING AGAIN on my channel in tribute to one of the true masters of modern music. Live acoustic with no digital enhancements. Thanks and please pardon the promo.

I was going thru a ruff time in my life when this was on the radio waves. (divorce) But being able to drive my pick-up in the California mountains when I was off work, at night to see the stars of Kern Canyon was awesome! I would sit in the bed of my truck and listen to the radio, and this song was awesome. Made me think that there was an after life sorta speak for me. I will forever love this song, and Supertramp!

Toby!! So right your intuition. The after life--sorta speak---is ALL that matters! The end of this video is all that matters. It will end this way. Love in the first degree!! Just allow God to shine his light on you. The rain will end. Be innocent and childlike. The beaming SUN shines on those such like! Peace and love. P.S.-- get your bowtie out!!

A beautiful song from a great band and it was a big hit here in Australia. I was in my first year at high school when this was released. I get very nostalgic when I hear songs like this, they just take me right back to that time. I had my whole life in front of me and had so much to look forward to.What a great time it was, I'd love to go back and do it all again with the knowledge I have now but sadly the 80's will never return. It was a different world and I really miss those days. Thank you for the upload.

My home town Melbourne has won "Worlds most liveable City" seven years running so we must be doing something right! It was even better back in the 70's and 80's.

I was 12 years old when this song was playing loud, I remember that this video always made me sad, seeing everything that went wrong for the hero of the story. Also at the end it made me cry, but with joy because well, after all the sad story had a happy ending. For 40 years this song has awakened intense and mixed feelings in me. I like to believe that even the saddest story can have a happy ending. I love this song and I love this video.
