Roger Hodgson

Roger Hodgson

Күн бұрын

Roger Hodgson co-founded Supertramp in 1969 and was the driving force behind what fans call the 14 golden years of the band. He wrote, sang, and arranged the enduring rock standards that made Supertramp a worldwide phenomenon with album sales in excess of 60 million.
Enjoy this video of Roger performing his unrecorded “Oh, Brother (Keep the Pigeons Warm)" from a 2001 one-man show at Casino Rama in Rama, ON, Canada. This was the first time Roger performed this beauty live. See the lyrics to this gem at www.rogerhodgs....
You can also find this song on Roger’s DVD, "Take the Long Way Home -- Live in Montreal.” This award-winning DVD went Platinum in just seven weeks and hit #1 in all of Canada. It is also multi-Platinum and Gold in France and Germany. Get a copy for yourself at www.RogerHodgs....
Roger also gave us timeless classics such as Breakfast in America, Give a Little Bit, The Logical Song, Dreamer, Take the Long Way Home, School, It's Raining Again, Fool's Overture, and many more. Although Roger and Supertramp's other co-founder, Rick, shared writing credit, they actually wrote and composed separately with each singing their own respective songs: bit.ly/1Kfgu0W

I was at the concert, front third row. Roger was nervous as he hadn't done a concert in a long time but he was great. I remember he stopped the concert to go behind the palm tree to clear his throat and he resumed the song. I have seen Roger in many concerts since Rama, but this one was his best, simple stage instruments and pure singing.
