Tips?
@AnushreeKaran3 жыл бұрын
@@affanleebe1154 just do tons and tons of practice tests. Once you do so many eventually you’ll learn the ins and outs of the test, and you’ll notice patterns in the way questions are structured, so once you approach those problems that fall with the pattern you’ll be able to speed through them. Specific tips- English- Create a list of basic grammar rules, and stick to them! This applies especially for commas, you will usually never need a comma unless it applies for one of the main rules. The two main rules I stick to with commas are using them for subordinate clauses, and also when you use an introductory clause. Math is basically just practice and reviewing what you got wrong, why you got it wrong, and how to fix it for next time. A good rule would be 20,20,20. 20 minutes for the first 30 problems, 20 for the next 20, and 20 for the last 10. Reading- For me, I just read the passages and just sped as fast as I could through the readings. If you still have time until your test, I’d recommend getting good at speed reading by reading a lot. My main strategy was reading pretty fast, but thorough for the first 2 passages, reading faster for the second to last one, and skimming the last one(science, which is my favorite of the 4). Finally science, I’d take the same approach as reading. Everybody says to skip the passage and go to the questions, but for me personally, I like skimming it to get an idea of what the subject is, and catch any tricks as well. NOTE: I find that waiting to bubble at the end works best for speed and accuracy. That way you don’t keep switching from bubble to test, and that saves you time, and allows you to stay in rythm. Always give yourself 5 minutes for each test (10 for english) to bubble in at the end, or how much time it takes you to do it. Hope this helped!

And Tip 2 pretty much simply explains why making the ACT so fast paced is a stupid idea for all test takers.

Hello Brooke, this is Boeing Infinity. I am a high school student from NY. I scored a perfect 36 on ACT math and English but I want to be improve my ACT reading from a 34 to a 36. What are some effective strategies that can allow me to get a 36 on reading? I love math … I constantly scored 36 on my ACT math, but reading is hard. Thanks Brooke
