I don't know the family and didn't know him, but the sadness of the older lady (wife or mother) that was being helped out of the church, should have cancelled out any negative comments you may have wanted to posted. RESPECT for our elders is always in order. Love to all!

I too love this and I am white chick of 53 born and raised in the south . Where I live now people do not know about " Homegoing Services " its a shame too. Actually the people in this region are so quiet about death it sometimes makes me wonder if they even CARE . This makes me homesick . Excellent job .

All the negative comments must be from young generations who don’t under the history behind why we have elaborate “home goings•. I love our culture.💜

hey all thanks for the comments whether they are good or bad....but what i will say is at least i got ya talking, and besides that i will also say this...i am the busiest african american owned funeral home out of the 7 here in Rochester NY, so no matter what you say i am living fine and people support us.......the walk is basically a slow step by step walk instead of just pulling the casket out like the person in it wasnt important and worth a march out the church, texas and louisianna do it all the time.....

It's also done in Alabama...very respectful. I found this video while searching for more information on this style of funeral march. Thank you for sharing.

I like the way they are going out with the casket. Where I live, they do the traditional walk out. I love this! I am seeing this in LA and TX. I love it! It is a wonderful way to pay tribute to the one who has passed on. Funerals should be a celebration even though it is "devastating to lose a loved one. Again, I like it!

For his height there was nothing wrong with his suit , and his hat matched his shirt trim and tie. Why is it easier to tear down than compliment

Exactly that's the main reason I come to dislike people in a huge way .

A few years ago my friend died Mr Ephraim he was such a great man all ways singing hymys if you had a bad day 5 minutes around him your day would be better at his funeral I was the only white man there and I didn't feel out of place I sat next to one of his great grand daughtes. We talked about how I admire him and everything. She asked me if I felt out of place I said why would I he was my friend but his funeral was spirit filled after it was over his sons and family all thanked me for coming I told one of his sons we are all the same. We just sometimes have different paint jobs

I know the family had to approve but to me it’s making a mockery how he was walking! The casket and spread was very nice
@mcguire6048 жыл бұрын
Nice service save and except for the "walk" it is not required and focuses on the casket nearer as opposed to the deceased. Just walk like an ordinary person.

He needs a suit that fits and must loose the hat. A top hat maybe.
