+Jake Bryant (The Rouge Owl) Bane maybe smart, but the Joker is a crime genius. Joker once hired Bane to kill Batman, and they doesnt seem to hate each other
@kyleschneider90088 жыл бұрын
True, he is praised as one of the most intellectual villains in Gotham, having photo graphic memory (despite being impossible in real life), and resources from the black market, he could've been the most dangerous villain in Gotham. What he lacks, however, is a reason to BE that big bad villain. Yeah, he wants to "break the bat", but compared to joker, batman seems to be a side thing for him (even though comics and movies depict him as obsessed with batman). Something better would be finding his father, and that might be why you don't see him a lot in comics or movies as anything other than a "Side brute". Meant to be taken down relatively soon.
@ryanarment53936 жыл бұрын
Jake Bryant i agree. While the Joker is the antithesis to Batman. Bane is physically and mentally more than a match for Batman.
@th3gps2236 жыл бұрын
It's not blasphemous, it's the truth. Joker couldn't harm Batman in any way even if he wanted to without the use of weapons.
Bane is so badass and very intelligent! That is why Bane is one of my favorite Batmanvillains because he is a challenge for Batman both mentally and psychically and he even found out Batman's secret identity really quick . Tom Hardy nailed the role of Bane in The Dark Knight Rises :) , he was just awesome in the movie.

Bane's origin story in Knightfall is some of the greatest writing that has been done in comic books.
@OneUltimateWarrior10 жыл бұрын
Its really interesting when you look at the two versions of Bane: In The Dark Knight Rises, a physically deteriorated Batman whose been out of action for almost a decade gets his ass kicked by Bane, who cheats by using a pain neutralizing device, in his sewers lair. I prefer this version as it was as close to a straight up loss as you can get.Plus it made Bane a likeable villain by being such a badass. In Knighfall, a dead tired Batman, who spent the night rounding up a bunch of escaped criminals, is confronted by Bane at the Wayne mansion. Like a lion pouncing upon a wounded gazelle, Bane defeats Batman in easy fasion, but what made it even worse was that he threw many insults as well as b*tchslapped his opponent before crippling him. From a villain's standpoint, it was a brilliant move. From the other side, Bane was the ultimate coward. I think the comic book did everything it could to make you hate Bane. At least tried to.

I thought Nolan's take on Bane was so much more interesting than the comic book counter-part and previous movie's. Nolan's Bane retains some believability whilst making him truly dominating and intimidating. A character doesn't have to be CGI-HUGE to have an imposing and dangerous presence, and I think Tom Hardy did a really good job. Regardless of how tall or big he is in real life, it wasn't an issue in the film and I didn't even realise until I saw these comments.
@echernaut12 жыл бұрын
Bane is actually more of an anti hero than a villain in the comics. He only broke Batman's back to get rid of the psychological trauma brought onto him in the prison he grew up in. Fear rules. He figured if he took down the one big player whom all the criminals feared, all the criminals would fear him and that's what he wanted. After Bruce Wayne's back healed they became pretty good pals. Even teamed up a few times. Pretty awesome.

@mitherapeuticmassage9 жыл бұрын
What are you talking about? Tom Hardy is fine actor, and I agree he played the part well enough. But they absolutely have the technology to put venom tubes into him realistically. They could have even turned him into a huge beast of a man with CGI. The second Hulk movie proved that, and that movie is a few years old. The mask they picked for Bane to wear I think was stupid, but I'd be okay with it if I could have understood half of what he was saying. I mean, come on, Darth Vader didn't have that problem and that is from 1975. Also, why did he sound like Sean Connery? The Dark Knight Rises was a total miss for me. Bruce Wayne became a recluse and didn't return to running Wayne Enterprises after Batman was no longer needed? What?!?! That was way out of character. Alfred's dream for Bruce was also out of character. Bane holding the city hostage for months while Bruce heals and goes through physical therapy, doesn't make any sense. The movie just didn't live up to the first two.
@akkalat859 жыл бұрын
Jeffrey Glebe But you must ask yourself, in the narrative that is "The Dark Knight Rises", would the inclusion of Venom do anything to advance the plot? Its inclusion would have done much more harm than good. That's why movie adaptions of comics must find their own footing. What works in comics doesn't always work on the big screen. Just look at "Batman and Robin".
@jerelkelly58919 жыл бұрын
Jeffrey Glebe The only reason Vader didn't have that problem was because the guy that actually played Vader wasn't the same guy talking. James Earl Jones was the voice actor for Vader.

I say that Bane shouldn't have made an appearance in a Batman movie from the 90s since he was still a new character around the time. The same could even be said when he appeared in Batman: The Animated Series, coarse that episode could have been made a lot better than being a rushed episode. So I say that there could be a modified adaptation of Knightfall as a two-part, DC animated movie in the near future.
@nickymo11 жыл бұрын
I think it made more sense to tie in Bane with Talia and the League of Shadows in the Dark Knight Rises. It wouldn't have felt quite as gratifying to introduce him as a villain of happenstance for the final movie in the trilogy, it made sense to make him have something to do with Batman prior to the beginning of the story.

(SPOILER ALLERT!) Actually i read most recently nightfall volume one and the reason that chased batman was not that he had nightmares of a dark creature.Bane saw batman as a chalenge because his companion bird told him inside the prison that gotham ruled by him,and bane obsesed with the fact that could be the ruller of gotham start chasing him.Actually i hated bane a litle due to the fact he didn't have a direct aproach in bats and first make him tyred in order to fight with him.And for that reason i think he was somewhat a coward,and from the other he think this pretty smart to trap the bat.And i have mixed feelings for him hate him and at the same time like the way he thinks.

The Batman & Robin Bane might have looked the part of what of what he did in the comics, but Nolan's Batman Trilogy is a mature adaptation with more realistic style, you can't really expect they were going to have a guy with a wrestling mask and tight pants running around. He might've looked different in Dark Knight Rises, but he was infinitely more stronger character, he had a intimidating presence, he was smart, calculating and a dangerous enemy, unlike the mindless brute in Batman & Robin.

Bane was beaten by Batman not only because of "working out" but because of finding the determination within himself to beat him. Also, yes, he should've used more martial arts forms. Bane was never "as dumb as a donkey" in the comics. He has always been a calculative villain to Batman. This is exactly why he is the first to expose Batman's vulnerability. Furthermore, the TDKR Bane is actually comparatively dumber than the comics Bane since the plan he acted on wasn't his own and it was essentially ruined by him suffering from the Idiot Ball and being Lovestruck dumb.

i thought the same thing, but the result of crocs encounter with bane resulted in croc breaking quite a few bones...

This story line about Bane breaking Arkham Asylum inmates free to make Batman tired is what Arkham Origins should have been about.

Bane ties with Joker for the ultimate Batman villain and Mr. Freeze for saddest back story/

In a brawl? Yes. Deathstroke is a master tactician in combat. Like Batman, he relies heavily on constant training, weapons, and keeping his body at it's physical peak. Despite the fact that he has the ability to heal much faster than normal humans, he does not have any superpowers. Bane on the other hand is a "strategical" genius. Knowing that would be no match for Batman's combat experience, Bane chose to attack when Batman was at his weakest and used his augmented strength to incapacitate him.

There is nothing unrealistic about steriods.. If Nolan was the genious that so many people claim that he is, then he could have found away to implement the Venom steroid in a way that it still managed to fit into his depiction of the character. Venom is a huge part of what Bane is. If Nolan couldn't understand that, then he should have used another villian for Darknight Rises...Black Mask maybe.

The Bane of “The Dark Knight” appears to be a fusion of Bane and the bald, giant mute that Ras al’Ghul used to test Batman’s capabilities after he decided Batman/Bruce Wayne might be a worthy successor to him and perfect husband for Talia, back around 1970.

Secret Six Bane is best Bane portrayal. However, Knightfall is a close second.

It would have been so much better if Batman The Animated Series adapted his ACTUAL origin rather than simply making him a hired-hand of mob bosses like Rupert Thorne. The BTAS crew rarely struck out but man when they did it always left me wishing to see what it would have been like.
@007legomaniac111 жыл бұрын
in the movies yes, but in the comics its just a tube inserted to his brain via some sort of microchip, if you read Knightfall, you will see that he removes the mask constantly when he is alone.... almost constantly

naa, youd now. It would be insinuated when he juiced up, and youd know. Bane doesn't always have to "juice up." He can probably beat majority of Gothams finest without it. Batman also rolls with the everyday normal guy routine. You dont need laser vision to kick butt.

In TDKR Bane waited until Batman was near exhaustion from rounding up all the criminals he had set free. In top shape Batman could probably have taken him.

Actually, he wasn't. In Arkham Asylum, Joker put something in the Venom Bane used. It made him less Intelligent and more Hulk. In Arkham City however, Bane is intelligent, because he's back on Venom that isn't drugged or whatever.

The funny thing is, in the same year, we got what Bane should have been, in the form of Javier Bardem's Silva in Skyfall.

En la versión filmica BANE no es ni se acerca a algunas caracteristicas del comic, como que se puede agrandar su masa muscular... pero en personalidad si lo hace, es identico pero por eso el director christopher Nolan hizo una versión mas sutil

bane is such a badass that their are times i wish batman hadn't beaten him in a dkr
@11kreider11 жыл бұрын
he wears the mask in the comics because that's where the tubes are connected to feed him venom and in the movie the dark knight rises he wears the mask because he got severly beaten while in prison and the mask holds back the pain.

Aside from the venom thing, not being from South America and bwibf Talia protector they pretty much nailed his character perfectly

@Tenos, the drug was inside the small tubes on his mask. That's why he needed the mask.
