I could use a bit of help with this app. When I use it for more than 2 outputs it starts behaving strangely. Al I want it to do is monitor and display the input (I currently have no input) and output status and have buttons to change the state of the outputs. My ladder logic is mainly just some crudely constructed timers using RTC. Scheduling on off times for my 4 current outputs. I like using the subroutines for each different timer control, and just use the main program to call them. I use the output bits y1-y4. My timers are RTC sd24, sd25, sd26 using the compare function to my set times. When the values are all true the output y1 latches using the set function. To reset I do the same RTC functions but with my desired offset of time obviously. I have 4 of these timer subroutines in my program. I use the modbus addresses assigned to my outputs in the app and everything seems fine until I switch more than 2 of my out puts causing the app to display incorrect status of on or off. Also causes the buttons to lock in the on position until you turn off another button. very strange. please help!

Hi Darren, Can you send me a copy of your Click program? You should be controlling the internal bits and not the outputs directly. garryshortt@accautomation.ca Thanks, Garry

Hello, The Omron CP1L will communicate modbus TCP with the built in Ethernet port for the following units: www.myomron.com/index.php?article=1478&action=kb You could also add the following unit CP1W-MODTCP61 to other CP1L systems: www.omron.com.au/data_pdf/cat/p63p.pdf?id=3333 Suppanel Android HMI will then work for you. Thanks for watching the video. Did I miss how to connect your phone/tablet to the plc?
@ACCautomation6 жыл бұрын
In the video at about 18:37. This is done by putting the Suppanel program in User Mode or Run Panel if you are in the Expert Mode. Use the main menu on the upper left corner. Regards, Garry

Garry Shortt I guess I wasn’t too specific on the question. Physical connection. If it’s on your cell phone, does it connect through WiFi and an IP address?
@ACCautomation6 жыл бұрын
Hi John, The physical connection with the cell phone is through WiFi to the router and then Ethernet cable to the PLC. Suppanel acts as the Modbus TCP Client (Master) to the Click Server (Slave). You only have to enter the IP address of the server that you want to communicate. In this system you can have multiple clients talking to multiple servers. Hope this answers your question. Thanks John Garry

Anyone try to get this to work with Arduino? I've been trying to for an few days now but the connection is sketchy at best. I messed around with this and a click but had similar issues when connected to wifi. Different phone. Is there possibly a setting or something within the router that I am missing?

I do get it to connect....but I am still figuring out the code for the app to see pin status. I cannot toggle state because the app cannot see the current status. About to pull my hair out.

@ACCautomation I have some things to do to fight with it. I remember having problems with the app staying connected to a click the it was completely over wifi. Once I hard wired the click via LAN and configured accordingly...it did much better. I tried Virtuiono last night and without configuring anything in the code I was able to get it to connect and it stayed connected. My guess is...Suppanel application isn't optimized and the developer hasn't visited it in quite some time to optimize it. Which is too bad....the interface is almost perfect in my opinion...easy to use...easy to address...it just isn't very stable when your slave is wireless.
