dreamcatcher mashes a lot of genres with a rock core. scream just happens to concentrate more with edm but all their songs are very different. if you want something heavier, 'endless night' is pure hard rock with metal influences. 'deja vu' is also a very good song with good video production.

One of the members, Handong, was in her home country of China for a music survival show when covid started so she stayed as China shut down for that. Filming for Scream happened at the end of last year (I think?), so they kept her in the choreo, you’ll notice in the large group shots of full choreo there’s a dancer also in white with a mask on who was a stand-in for Handong.

Each one may not have their own color, but they do have their own nightmare. They used to have a nightmare concept where each member would represent a specific fear. And the member they were missing due to covid is their Chinese member Handong. At that time she was participating in a Chinese survival program, but now she is stuck there because Korea have not opened their borders to China yet. She will be able to return when South Korea reopens their borders. Please wish her and her family good health because Wuhan is her hometown.

Dreamcatcher has a very unique in style and concepts. They usually have a dark theme going on, especially in the MV releases. Their underlying style is rock but they always evolve and produce something different while being able remain sounding like Dreamcatcher. You will hear often comparing them to J Rock and they sound like an anime opening. I also recommend listening to their B Side tracks. They the most musically diverse group their is. I personally recommend, so you can get the over arching story from their songs, is to go in chronological order. Yessssssss, I love Dreamcatcher, they're one of the most talented group of the Kpop industry, but sadly they're so underrated in Korea. They didn't even have their first win, but I believe that is coming and that Dreamcatcher is gonna be HUGE.

lol make sure to hit the subs and watch Dreamcatcher videos on either their official channel or on Happyface Ent's channel because they will usually have subs - Scream gets super dark in the lyrics. (It's based on medieval European witch hunts that are also along the lines of modern day 'witch hunts' with cyber bullying and trolls -the mask was referring to the anonymity of faceless accusers and such along with all of the lyrics. The hand movement going along with the 'devil eyes come' is like trying to protect themselves from the 'evil eye' - the lyrics for that part is 'I open my eyes.') So yes, there's 7 members, but Han Dong, their Chinese member, is literally *stuck* in China because of covid. She was filming a Chinese show when it broke out and she hasn't been able to get back to Korea yet due to travel restrictions. She's able to keep in contact with the other members and she actually posted an update of her watching Dreamcatcher's online concert, so we know our precious Dongie (yes that's her nickname) will be back as soon as circumstances allow. I don't know if they're doing a full comeback, but they recently have done an OST for another mobile game (their first collab was with Deja Vu that was for King's Raid). If you want more stuff from Dreamcatcher in the music area, I would suggest starting off with Chase Me and Good Night. Chase Me was their (re)debut song (long story) and Good Night was their first comeback. Both songs are more rock than metal, and I will tell you straight off that the production quality is not the bestest in the world - Happyface is a mid-range company, not one of the Big 3 so they didn't really have the budget to splurge on effects and graphics and such. But major points and kudos if you manage to catch all of the horror movie references they made in those two MVs. Chase Me is the start of the 'Nightmare series' which is a multi-MV story arc that only ended after Piri/Breaking Out (most reactors can't react to Breaking Out as it's a Japanese release). Deja Vu is a standalone story, and in case you missed the To Be Continued, Scream is kicking off a new story that fans (we're called InSomnias btw) are calling the 'Dystopia' arc (from the album name). A lot of people have some good recs and my music tastes align kind of with yours, I like the heavy hard-hitting stuff beyond anything else, but Dreamcatcher's B-sides are... wildly diverse and it would be a massive discredit to let anyone think they only do rock. It's literally 'pick a genre, they've done it'. It's not just rock, it's also reggae (July 7th), it's R&B (Wonderland), it's funk (And There was No One Left), it's house trap (Red Sun), it's ballads (Trust Me/Lullaby/Daydream), it's more classic pop (Black or White - yes they do a LOT of MJ moves in that choreo), it's jazz (Jazz Bar), it's more trap (Sleep-walking)... I think they only genre they haven't done is country. They cover a *lot* of songs, both Korean and English, like Winner's Really Really or Maroon 5's Lucky Strike or Alan Walker's Faded or Little Mix's Secret Love Song or Exo's Overdose and they've even covered Havana as both the Sua & Dami duo and as a full group. Oh. Yeah. And they sing live. Even with their punishing cardio workout choreography, they still sing live. (Siyeon's let a few high notes be lip synced, but it's understandable considering they were literally on about month 4 of constant promotions and all of their voices were exhausted from Chase Me to the end of Good Night. But they usually sing live -blatantly, obviously, live.)

Dude. So, the cool thing about these girls is the pop fusion with metal, hard rock, EDM, R&B, hip hop, .... Title tracks are mostly blends with metal or hard rock, but b-sides and specials have a lot of variety. Check out their debut, Chase Me, and the followup, Good Night. These defined dreamcatcher as something new and totally different. And you'll have fun with the story line.

They are a 7 member group in this comeback one of the member is absent since she was participating in a program named idol producer or youth with you so in this comback theres 6 with member Handong theres 7. Their first concept was different and their name was Minx i believe at that time there were only 5 members but i like this restructuring of the group and the name better

I will say, you probs didn't notice the other girls because of their non colored hair or the fact the blonde and purple haired ones are the ones singing the slower verses.
