Tell me, tell me, I wanna know!!!! 1. What deck are you working with? 2. Where are you keeping your table from activity 1.1? In a notebook? On your computer? In a spreadsheet? 3. What sources will you be working with over the coming week?

Love that you’re doing this! I totally typed all my notes for this. And you can use whatever deck you want all the way through! I think the only time I get descriptive is in the chapter on visual language and all I say is that you may want to use one deck throughout the chapter.

Yay! That's so great to know! And hooray for typing! ;)

Yay!! This is so great. I think the pace is perfect! 1. I’m using the Marshmallow Marseille for this project. 2. I’m keeping my chart in a physical notebook...for some reason, despite the fact that I type way faster than I write, I always keep my tarot journals on paper. There’s some weird brain-body thing that just helps me learn on more of a gut level if I write things down. But I am leaving myself TONS of space so I can do a lot of adding/subtracting/modifying/distilling for each number. Otherwise I feel like there’s a real danger of me turning it into an unreadable mess. 😂 3. I’m using: Tarot Wisdom - Rachel Pollack The Marseille Tarot Revealed - Yoav Ben-Dov Holistic Tarot - Benebell Wen Kitchen Table Tarot - Melissa Cynova Tarot for Your Self and 21 Ways to Read a Tarot Card - Mary Greer

I totally get what you mean about remembering more when it's hand-written - I can see that. I might do some writing/journaling of my own meanings once I decide on them to help 'set them' in my memory if I feel I need it. You have some great resources there!

1. Marshmallow Marseille 2. My table is in a Google spreadsheet. But I plan to use a written notebook for other notes in upcoming lessons 3. Jodorowsky, Phantasmagoria, Holistic Tarot, How to Read the Tarot, Biddy Tarot website

Yay! The Marshmallow Marseille is so nice and I can't wait to start really playing with it... but i know that comes a bit later in our learning. ;)

I couldn't decide whether to comment here or in the FB group so I may end up doing both! 1) I am working with the CBD Tarot De Marseille by Ben-Dov. I thought about using the Tarot Del Fuego, as it is a Marseille inspired deck, but I think the pips are still a bit more illustrated than I would like at this stage. 2) I may still get a new notebook but for now I have a spreadsheet on excel as I am also a speedy typist, and a tech geek 3) Sources: Marseille Tarot Revealed by Ben-Dov Tarot Plain and Simple by Anthony Louis Holistic Tarot by Benebell Wen Numerology for Beginners by Kristyna Arcarti Your Book of Shadows by Patricia Telesco The Wicca Handbook by Eileen Holland Biddy Tarot Website

I have never even looked at the Tarot Del Fuego - though now I want to. ;) As for notebooks... I think I just wanted an excuse to buy another pretty notebook. LOL But I probably won't actually use it. It's like the curse of the stationary obsessed fast-typer lol. Great sources! I can't wait to hear from you after you've worked with them to get your thoughts!

Great video, Lisa. I like the pace we're going at - neither too slow nor too fast me. I'd love to have some of your sources! I'm grateful you gave links to the websites, too, because I needed those! I was not using Biddy Tarot as effectively as I could have been nor had I found great sources for Judeo-Christian numerology yet. Answering your questions: 1. The deck I'm using is the Perrin Tarot (Tarocchi Perrin 1865). 2. When it comes to things like this, I'm definitely a spreadsheet girl! I use Excel. Like you, I feel like it would be cool to write it down by hand, but I love to revise and tweak and hate eraser marks, so digital is best for me. 3. I have more sources than necessary, but I like data. :) If I could buy more books about this right now, I would, but I believe it's fine to work with what we have and that's what I'm doing: Phantasmagoria by Ian Daniels Tarot for Your Self by Mary K. Greer Tarot 101 by Kim Huggens The Marseille Tarot Revealed by Yoav Ben-Dov Biddy Tarot website Random websites on Chinese, Astrological, and Biblical numerology (so far, these are a little less thorough than I'd like) The Major Arcana :) Probably more before the course is through!

Oh boy I hear you on eraser marks... or pen that you have to scribble out or white out over. I'm like you with more sources than strictly necessary. :D Tart for Your Self by Mary K. Greer is TOTALLY on my book wishlist! Do you love it?

Hi Lisa, I like Tarot for Your Self (Tart for Your Self sounds even better! ;) ). I haven't done most of the exercises because, first, there are a LOT, and second, a number of them are a bit out of my comfort zone or feel a bit advanced for me at the moment, that kind of thing. It's a great reference book for meanings, though (I recall Katey Flowers saying in an older video it's one of her prime go-to's for meanings). It's also great if you're bored and looking for some spreads to challenge you, etc. Looking at it in depth again, I could see diving deeper over the winter now that I'm more familiar with tarot than when I first got it.

BAHAHAHA at "Tart for yourself" I'm definitely keeping it on my books wish list for sure hearing this. I love the deeper/heavier stuff especially when reading for myself.

Hi! The pace seems doable. I hope I won't fall off the wagon because of my bad procrastination habit:-P 1) I will be using Tarot Classic. The only other Marseille deck I have is Pole Ka. Plus Tarot of Eden but that is too much 70s disco and I would ideally like to swap it one day. 2) I drew up the table on two sheets of A4 glued together. I would like to transfer it in a cleaner version to a notebook, but can't decide between a 200 page and a 80 page one. 200 is prettier and spiral bound but would I fill it? I guess I could always take another course and continue in the same notebook. (I completed the Alternative Tarot course of Beth Little last year) 3) I have already filled the table when I started to learn with the book in spring (this was also as far as I got - procrastination, what can I say) I searched for numerological sources online: buddhist, gypsy, horoscope sites etc., also biddytarot. My only paper source was the guidebook of the Mayan tarot by Laura Tuan. But I will definitely add from the Kitchentable Tarot and 78 Degrees, as I have these. Have a nice weekend!

Sounds like you're in a great spot!! Have you already filled in your own distilled meanings in your table yet? :D
@aiatarlill
@aiatarlill 6 жыл бұрын
No because today I glued together another sheet because I have 6 new sources, some thanks to you:-D But I will try to stop at that. Maybe 13 sources is enough...X-D

ROFL it's hard not to add more sources, right?!?!! I recently got the Druidcraft and it has a page for each number too... so I may have to cross-reference my current distilled meanings against it just in case any further insights. ;)
