The mere fact that it bothers some people is hillarious. You should be rewarded on your hard work and qualifications not skin color. Its like the ones griping about don't think they can do as good as other races????

You clearly do not understand at all what affirmative action was and why it was vital to ending systemic racism. Now ivy league schools can go back to making sure all their alumnus get their kids into their schools REGARDLESS of merit and black admissions will drop to zero.

As a lifelong Democrat I say, it's about time! Too many people have lost great opportunities because of Affirmative Action. The scales are pretty even,let's play fair!

About time. This was just race preference disguised as social activism. Now if only grants were based on ability not skin color. If the only way you can achieve diversity is by mandating that certain people be accepted based purely on their skin color, then you should be asking why it is that those people aren't meeting the same standards than others are expected to.

Because of Anglo-Saxon bigotry and racism there was a need for affirmative action, and the Supreme Court still upholds the ultra racist Doctrine of Discovery. It's in the pale skins blood that he can't seem to co-exist peacefully with anyone.
@hughjanus2781

Those people aren’t meeting the same requirements because underfunded overcrowded inner city public schools aren’t meeting those criteria. Most students that graduate from elite private schools won’t have a shot at ivy league schools so students from most public schools don’t have a chance at all

@cloudstreets1396

How is it merit when students that don’t have the grades, but their daddy donated a couple million to Harvard, get into the school? Now schools like Harvard can base even more of their admission decisions on things such as donors or alumni giving black people almost no chance of attending schools such as that.

the gap in the educational system that needs fixing is not rememedied by allowing in to university unprepared students, it needs fixing at the K-12 level...sure, that would be more work, but that, and also changing Mexican American and African American culture so that young folk in those communities become less anti-intellectual and embrace academic work, which at present they do not do, as much as Asians, Jews, and Whites...see African American linguist John McWhorter on why Affirmative Action is an insult to Black folk...stop making excuses and study hard....lose the drugs, alcohol, and partying and work hard/study hard....Its how Asians get so far...and it begins at home.

I don't know how affirmative action for college admissions was EVER allowed! It is blatantly racist and unconstitutional. Also, it didn't do any of these people any good. The failure/drop-out rate of people who are allowed into schools that are above their abilities is staggering.
@hughjanus2781
@hughjanus2781 2 ай бұрын
The drop out rate is definitely going to drop. Because students from these underfunded programs will have no chance whatsoever to even attend ivy league schools. Ivy League schools are going to be 98% all white and Asian students

The fact that it excoriates the poor should be rewarding to those not qualified not certified not verified. It is. I know my place. The stranglehold the dnc has had on this country for the last long decades is worsened by sickening the birthing to a new world...100 years ago. Now? I have a degree. Well I have two degrees. Well I have two degrees and two years of Junior College for prep just to this field of endeavor. Well I have three degrees and a 14 page resume' just on this qualification. Well I have three degree's and 15 page's...well, well!!! The job is for two painters at 35 an hour. The job is grass cutting. The job is keyboarding the 911 system. The job is an L.E.O. Promotion to Sgt. For $0.89 an hour pay raise. The job is 23rd. Floor ass kissing on the carpet with two degree's, junior college prep. and a 16 page resume' to call a roll, log-in, check status's twice per day, log out and go home. The job is I.T. @Microsoft which I could not relocate too... nor want. Qualifications will go back to "who knows who." The attaining of qualifications and certifications will be saturated based "who helps who (no whom)" vs. "those and them" to get in line for the best classes which will now be any class. On that a little bit changed. A fifty dollar scholarship to Harvard along with 25 other colleges as a high school graduate and Valedictorian will only make the line longer at the bank for a cashier position. Little changed on that. What changed WAS who vs. them to IS.

We’ve done this for so many years and it doesn’t seem to have made any difference What I have seen as standards that have been lowered to push people through the system, so the public pays for the quality of the treatment they’re getting because the colleges are pushing people through the system that are not qualified

It does matter what your grades are when your girlfriend does the work for you and you play ball! An that's a part of college that hasn't changed 😝 at all but I would have to basically go through high school again to get ready for college even though they took out of teaching what was taught me and our class and put it in college like they did mechanics and wood 🪵🪓 shop home economics was fun only now my work doesn't matter and I'm old and don't have the time or money left to start over ha ha 🤣🥳🫂 working great 👍👍👍 guys I love what you're doing with the place without me and whatever family I could have had but didn't because I was to stupid and listen to what is appropriate behavior and what isn't.
