Wal Mart is purely a commercial issue which should be regulated as it is moving products in commerce. However, the government's stance on punishing the people in possession of any gun that is widely available is a violation of the 2nd amendment. The government's stance has been that you must pay a fee for a constitutional right(license, fees, insurance, registration(which is relinquishment of private rights to said registered item), background checks, or any other fee on the exercise of a private right)which is a violation of the constitution itself. The legislature only has a right to regulate commerce. A free people's possessions that are not engaged in commerce being subject to commercial regulations is an infringement. The government wants you to forget about consumer rights and consumer goods. A weapon once purchased is a consumer good and is a private item. The registration of said item makes it commercial and changes your rights in association with the item you thought you owned.

Missouri is backtracking a lot of the progress that was made and the legal landscape changes almost by the hour . Tennessee which is supposed to allow permitted concealed carry now has restrictions to carrying on ANY state owned property including highways . To be honest , KY is the best 2a state in the midwest/mid-south area . Now there are a couple other states that are even more friendly to the 2a , but in this area with the south TN border being the limit KY leads the pack. No permit to carry period , businesses open to the public cannot stop you from carrying concealed , ownership of NFA items is 100% legal so long as they are lawfully obtained . No restrictions on what you can carry . No duty to retreat , castle doctrine , as well as being a literal 2a sanctuary state like Missouri was SUPPOSED to be.

The current draft of the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act (H.R. 38) and the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act is majorly flawed, in that 99% of non California residents will NOT be allowed to conceal carry within the State of California should either of these Acts be passes by Congress and approved by the President of the USA. In short, each of these Acts state that the non-California CCW holder can legally carry within the State of California, but they MUST abide by California specific rules on which guns you are allowed to carry and more specifically, the model of gun that you are allowed to carry. Therefore, to carry a gun within California, your pistol would be required to have specific mandated features like the loaded chamber indicator (Red Dot), which nobody outside of the state of California would have on their gun, thus making 99% of all handguns outside of California “illegal” to carry within the State of California. Basically, this means Non-California citizens will NOT be allowed to carry their non-compliant pistols within California unless they purchase another gun to only carry when they enter California. Both of these Acts are majority flawed.

The problem with the Supremacy Clause in this case is that the US, by forcing a state to provide assistance to the Federal gov't, even if the US is not violating the 2nd Amendment, is tantamount to slavery. If a state agent does not wish to comply with a Federal order to assist them in executing an arrest or shutdown of an establishment, the Federal gov't cannot force a state agent to provide assistance, such as aiding the Feds in locating someone or something, or manpower in an attempt to arrest someone...that would be a violation of the 13th Amendment. Am I missing something here?
