Man that 1st turn burn was straight psychotic. Good match and win. I'm a despia main so it was nice seeing how u overcame it. Just be prepared though, eventually we are gonna get the branded support which makes despia and albaz even more crazy to duel.

Yes it is, it's just more of a win-more card because the deck is good enough by itself. I like trying to summon it to pull off the trap "supreme rage".

The Despia dragon can no longer activate its effect once it gets destroyed or is sent to the GY by card effects. It can only be special summoned from the GY once per turn.

No, I dont use Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon in this deck. I only include Odd-Eyes Rebellion because of its ability to setup scale, as a last measure if It ever come to that.

Just noticed, you don’t have raging in this deck. Is there a reason you didn’t put it in?

Becoz I can't use Raging full effects even if I special summon it. Rebellion Dragon however had an effect where if it is destroy I can clear my pend scale and set it in my pendulum zone. And during my turn I can pick 1 scale from the deck and set it in pend zone. Essentially a 1 card scale setup, but I rarely need it since there are better candidates to summon.

Imagine if there was a scale 0 Odd-Eyes card which after placing it in the pendulum (which neither player can respond to) it can immediately place an Odd Eyes of your choosing in the other pendulum zone and has a floating effect that can turn effect dmg into LP while also doubling any LP gained and the effect cannot be overridden. Plus if it’s in your hand, field, graveyard or banished it can still turn effect dmg into LP.

Great! its really fun, you should give it a try. Do keep in mind that it can be pretty darn expensive to build so, unless youre a true Pendulum fan, I dont recommend it at all for new players, coz the playstyle for this deck is very different from other odd-eyes build. Since you know ... it works by heavily abusing Supreme King Gates to set up your scales.

You did amazing but as a despian player i sm sad to see how bad thia guy was, playing, 3 masquerains is too much to rely on and he couldve ended the damn game in a few turns had he just used queritis' effect, or use different fusions like ash dragon so he can be unaffected by your effects, oh well you did great so amazing performance

Nah, there wasnt much he can do. Even if he had 3 Quaeritis or 2 Starving Venom. My pendulum scales prevents him from damaging my LP. Once per battle phase I can increase battle monster damage equal to opponent attacking monster. And if that didn't go through, Venemy effects allows me to reduce damage to 0. Given that he somehow was somehow able to overcome Venemy effects that reduces all monsters atk. That explains why my opponent attacks are puny. To simply put if he can't get rid of my Pendulum Scales, he can't win through sheer force. So 3 Masquerade is probably the most effective way to beat my deck. Either way you're right though, he was too dependent on that card. A little predictable which is why he lost.

I agree, adding that limitation would fix the abuse problem with that card. I mean no one play Despia the way they should be anymore... the only monster they bring out is either Masquerade or Quaeritis then abuse the hell out of them. Its so predictable and a real pain to deal with.

@@YGODueltainer Unfortunately the deck is still missing about a chunk of its cards in Master Duel. Masquerade spam and a little Fallen of Albaz control is the best they have rn. Masquerade punishes blindly following combo lines. Meanwhile, the monster itself is made out of paper and has no protection.

Thats really a nonsensical thing to say. It's a card which punishes playing the game, in any way, which is really bad. Cards like this are very unhealthy. Thats on Mystic Mine level of "should-not-exist". Adding the rest of the despia stuff wouldn't change anything about how people play the deck, since the Masquerade & Quatearierisoriumerum abuse just works to well.

@@Luna-Starfrost A card that punishes you for playing the game? Like Maxx C? A card that's totally legal in both the OCG and Master Duel? Despia is a very fragile deck. They lack the ability to put true negates on board and their only real first turn play is to put out a bunch of Masquerades. Yes, the card is bullshit. But that whole board could have died to a Raigeki. One of the Masquerades could easily be Kaiju'd and freed up some of the burn. Know what your match-ups may be on the ladder and build accordingly. You're going to have to deal with Despia, Swordsoul, the Dogmatika engine, DPE, etc.
