I never had a colonoscopy but also had SUPREP Bowel Prep for the preparation in July. I was totally surprised how easy it was after hearing all the horror stories of how awful any of the preparation is. I used cold water with a straw and didn't breathe in. Finished it in about 5 minutes!!! Afterwards I took a mint for the aftertaste. Drank the water as indicated and waited. I believe I was done "going" about 2 hours from the beginning. The only thing that I encountered was getting extremely cold so prepare yourself with a blanket in the bathroom!!!. Same thing in the morning and it was all over!!! Thank goodness the colonoscopy is now over and I don't have to have another one in 5-10 years. Good luck and don't forget to bring in a blanket!!!! And....don't be afraid!

I am getting my first colonoscopy tomorrow morning, this video helped ease my worry, thank you. I also am using Suprep, my first download was within 1 hour 15 mins after finishing my first dose and it’s 3 hours later and it’s slowed down but not stopped. For me it didn’t taste that bad, I mixed it with white grape juice. Thank you for posting this ❤️

Hi. How was your experience
@deirdrem932019 күн бұрын
@@AndyPlaytime While the Suprep was not bad I deviated from grape juice at the beginning and decided to use ginger ale (I like the taste of ginger ale)... big mistake. With that stated, the anxiety to go through the prep and then the actual colonoscopy procedure was quite stressful; however, it was reassuring as absolutely nothing was found. So thank you for your posting of this video.

I add a packet of Crystal Light Lemonade and water to it and that helps somewhat, although it's still nasty, but not so nasty that I couldn't do it. Drinking it through a straw helps, too. I also had Nestle's lemon-flavored Splash that I would swish in my mouth after each sip of the prep. I've had two colonoscopies and used Suprep each time. I think it's far preferable to drinking a gallon of something else. She took a big chance by having a big meal for lunch. I was told clear liquids all day, and although I was hungry, I stuck to that because it's only one day.

They have now changed the flavor. It is no longer salty. Here is my review. I had my fourth colonoscopy this morning. In the past three preparations that I did, I was able to tolerate the drink with very little problem. I have heard people complain back in the day that the taste was horrible, but I had not experienced that until last night with Suprep. In the past, I have always next the prep with Orange Zero. However, that actually made things worse, which I could not believe was even possible. The sweetness of this product is unbearable! At first I thought maybe I shouldn’t mix it with the Orange Zero (because it is sort of sweet), but when I got to the second dosage of Suprep, I tried mixing it with water. Mixing it with water made absolutely zero difference. I even tried mixing just 1/4 of a cup of the Suprep with an entire cup of water, and it was still so sweet I was gagging trying to get that down. I am guessing that I drank about 1 gallon of water trying to get the second dose down, and that didn’t include the 32 ounces of water I had to drink after that. And, just to clarify, when I talk about sweet, I am not talking about like when you put too much sugar in your coffee. This was so cloyingly sweet, and with a really weird grape flavor, it was more like if you took a grape soft drink and mixed in a pound of sugar. I just don’t know how anyone could ever tolerate that much sweetness along with that really weird grape flavor. I spoke with my Gastro intestinal doctor before the procedure and told him that I never want to use this product again. He said that he has heard people complain in the past that the product tasted salty ... and I would’ve taken salty any day over this horrible stuff! At least with a salty product, I could’ve sucked on a lemon to help with the saltiness. There was absolutely nothing I could do to get rid of the grape sweetness, even with diluting it 100 times more than I should have, and chasing it with Ginger ale and diet Coke. I looked high and low for a way to reach the manufacturer, but could find no way to contact them on the Internet. So, that is the reason that I am posting my review of this product here. I will do everything within my power to never have to use this product again!

@@kerrykirkham I wanted to follow up with you because your instructions helped me prepare for Suprep Thursday night (2 nights ago). I'll try to be brief in the hopes that this may help anyone going through this. I took the ColoGuard test at home 2 months ago. It came back positive. For anyone who doesn't know, Cologuard is an at home test for colon cancer. I scheduled an immediate colonoscopy and it still took almost 2 months. For 2 months I had to live with the mental anguish of those positive results. I showed no signs and did my best to remain positive and hopeful and prayed a lot. I'm beyond happy to say that my colonoscopy was good. The doctor removed 2 very small polyps which he said looked fine. They still send them off to analyze. I had slight diverticulosis which I had 10 years ago. My colon looks quite good he said. I cannot in good conscience recommend anyone to take the Cologuard. Just go get a colonoscopy and save yourself possible mental torture of a positive result. I highly recommend your video to anyone using Suprep to prepare. I knew exactly what to expect and I got a kick out of your term "downloading". LOL. The one tip I might add is to cut a lemon in half and after each drinking episode of Suprep, smear the half lemon on your tongue. This immediately removes the after taste of the medicine. Personally, I will not wait 10 years again. I will do mine every 5 years from now on no matter if I have to pay out of pocket. 10 years is too long. 3 years for you would be very comforting and keep you very safe I imagine. Thanks again. I wish you and your viewers a long life.

I had my colonoscopy 3 weeks ago. I also watched a lot of suprep videos and bought apple and pear juice thinking it would be unbearable but once I sipped it I immediately realized that it was nothing like I’d been hearing. It basically tasted like an off brand grape drink. I know each person is different but I can not believe that it took anyone more than 10 seconds to drink it. It taste like grape juice. Never even used the apple and pear juice.

Thanks for being very upfront with us and happy you went and they removed your polyps. My grandfather died of colon cancer young and I started age 40 and just turned 65. Some polyps were removed in the past and it’s been 5 years since having one as pandemic etc and I didn’t want to go. My colonoscopy is 1:45 today and did the suprep absolute horror beyond sipping refrigerating still very nauseous and chest has intermittent pain, I have not had any food since Sunday night 1-2 bagel with cream cheese. No fruits veggies seeds beans nuts for 4 days and all I eat for most part are salads and beans. Yesterday was liquid all day and I won’t be able to eat anything until after 3 pm so 42 hours without any food ugh. I will NEVER do the SUPREP again !!! It takes an hour to work for me and I’m totally chilled freezing cold within a couple minutes of drinking it. It’s important for all to get colonoscopy and there are horse pills you can take but need to swallow 15. Anyway at the end of the day what’s important is to get through this to have the procedure and wishing good health to all ❤ thanks again for the video

Currently using this product for my colonoscopy prep an I mixed mine with water then chugged both bottles of required water. I think the salt taste your getting is from the ginger ale. It's very much medicine grape and the aftertaste is very strong and in my opinion the worse part. Mine kicked in within 20-30 mins. My doctor was very direct and strict in telling me not to eat for 24hr while taking the prep. Just jello (not red or purple), chicken broth and clear fluids. No solids whatsoever. Thankfully I was able to nab some of my kids baby wipes. Cancer is very strong in my family but currently my big sister is currently passing from stage 4 CRC cancer and was diagnosed in her 30s so here I am at 25 getting mine done an will have to get one every 5 yrs If they find nothing.

My sister passed with Colon cancer and I've taken at least 6 colonoscopies. My first time I took the test I could not get that salty mess down w/o cramping and I was not good to go for my procedure. Every time after that I mixed one small container of MiroLax with a gallon of clear juice (lemonade, white grape or apple juice, clear vitamin water or yellow Gatorade and downed that. The only thing you taste is the juice. That's all I do. Now, you have to follow the eating procedures leading up to the procedure. I take a laxative earlier in the day drink only clear juices, light colored Jello, clear colored pop cycles and a hard candy like lemonheads. After I guzzle the first prep I don't take another one. I might do a bowel cleanser the morning of but that's it and I've never had another problem.

Chill everything including the product in the refrigerator for several hours then be sure to have a straw Ginger ale and lemon slices several of them then pour the product in the measuring cup and fill the cup with cold water but leave an inch at the top and fill that inch up to the 16 ounce line with Ginger ale before you start drinking coat your mouth with lemon then start sucking away and when you have to take a breath quickly suck on a lemon it should only take you two or three minutes to get this down and you will not taste the salt and hardly notice the cough medicine taste then to get the 32 ounces of water down in the next hour add some ginger real this work for me

Hey there! I hope my advice doesn’t come too late. Sorry for the delay! My anesthesiologist was absolutely gorgeous, strong and confident looking. As she hooked me up to the IV drip I commented (in a non-predatory/complementary way) that she looked like a movie star from a TV medical drama. The last thing I remember was her smiling as I looked up at her. I was out super fast. They often ask you to count to 10. I don’t think I made it to 4. I woke up in the recovery room feeling completely refreshed and relieved. There were no memories of anything between the time I was knocked out to the time I was moved to recovery. Pretty amazing. Lack of instruction and confusing various instructions have led me here. My structuring says every 15 mins to drink and I just watch another video says drink half and drink the other half in the morning of the procedure, Plus I got these gas simethicone (4) pills I don’t know when to take and not sure if they are part of the prep or an option if you feel bloated and how often you can take them. I think bc it says to after meals and bedtime, it’s something I take before my procedure, but when? The instructions are vague and on the pill container says follow drs. instructions. So since my procedure is tomorrow, I don’t expect to find out and gonna use my consecutive common sense. But they need to make it more clear and those making videos should make some suggestions, but follow the basics on what’s required

Ninety minutes would have driven me crazy but better late than never, we can assume. Cheating would be terrible because the doctor will find out in the end. Half-assing it (pardon the pun) would be such a huge waste of time and money. I personally have a knucklehead friend who did this and they had to pay for both the prep and procedure twice. Patients should plan to shoot for A++, five-star, super-clean bowels. That way the doctor can see everything clearly, which mattered in my case with three polyps.

Taste gross. I used a straw 3 gulps then a swig of cold water. Then again Better plain ... then you gotta drink 2 16oz bottles of water in an hour that was tough. It works pretty fast your gonna run to the bathroom be prepared 😅😂😅 seriously RUN 🏃♀️ ITS like a concentrated laxative 😅😅😅

That stuff sent me into atrial fibrillation. If you have arrhythmia problems talk to your cardiologist first.

I have yet to meet a bulimic that cares in the least about the taste. It's the price that deters them

Hello there and thank you for bringing up this topic. Like depression, bulimia doesn't get the cautionary media attention that it deserves. Like depression, bulimia is a serious medical condition that could lead to death if left untreated. It's no joke and is much deeper than a simple behavioral issue. If anyone struggling with bulimia is watching this video with the mind to "self-medicate"--in my heart of hearts, I hope viewers will think twice and please, please, please seek medical attention. With proper medical attention, there is a way out. Please muster the courage to take that first life-altering step in the right direction. My heart goes out to all who suffer from bulimia. ~*big huge virtual hug*~
