Mansfield was a legend in his own mind and thats what did him in . He showed a little promise as a novice but never got any better ...like a heel Tim Horner .

POS...exposed the business on 20/20 in 1984. Kayfabe died that day. Thanx Eddie!! Wasn't Hector The Gobbledygooker in the WWF. If he was, that's such an insult to the legendary Guerrero family!!
@jonathanturbide22326 жыл бұрын
Vintage Lung Yep Hector was the Gooker, he was also Lazertron in Jim Crockett Promotions. I guess the guy didn’t mind having stupid gimmicks.

Mansfield and Guerrero feuded for a while in Los Angeles. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, he teamed with Roddy Piper during that time. Of course, Mansfield pretty much became persona non grata in the business after he appeared on 20/20 and exposed the business.

Brian Washington Sorry Brian, didn't see your comment or I wouldn't have been redundant. I was just so angry over seeing Mansfield.

Brian Washington Yeah used to watch them as a kid at the Olympic Auditorium. Piper n Chavo was around 21 at the time n Mansfield was here too.

Mansfied really fucked shit up for wrestling for a while. I wish none of them would ever have exposed the business... it was alot more fun when you had people thinking it was real...

@@pdmftw1 yep. Of course a few years later Vince wound up doing it to avoid paying a higher tax for running a sporting event as opposed to running an entertainment.

@@pdmftw1 No he didn't .... I only knew of a few morons who did not know that wrestling was a performance . About the only thing he did was out razor blades being used but many of us knew the blood was real . Wrestling boomed even after his rant .

The thumbnail for this vid is great...at that moment, Chavo's balls were feeling so gooood....just watch the hold in the match, punish-stretching Mansfield's knee, Chavo sittin on the top of Mansfield's foot and bouncin on it like he's ridin a hobby-horse....
