Lily/Rufus - Hardest of Hearts (Gossip Girl)

The worst thing about the finale was the complete disregard the producers and writers had for Lily's character. Lily's final "happy ending" is to reunite with her manipulative and slimy ex because he's okay with her "slipping gin into her teacup" to drown her pain? Because she's inevitably becoming more like her mother, who spent her life manipulating, scheming, and drinking such that her closest friend and relative in death was an impostor? The reason Lily even became more like her mother was when she gave up on Rufus. We've seen Chuck do much worse when he thought he'd lost Blair, yet he gets a happy ending (albeit well-deserved; Chair forever). Even Chuck and Blair supported each other becoming better people in order to deserve each other. I genuinely feel that if Lily had some time on her own, to deal with being by herself, she'd come right back to Rufus. Rufus would work out his resentment, and judgmental and self-righteous issues, and start to feel comfortable in his own skin and habitat again. Lily even said that she wanted to find a new place for the two of them and make it work as a dual partnership! Argh, Rufus and Lily towards the end of Season 5 and all of Season 6 just frustrated me so much...

I agree with you. Lily is my favourite character and i was incredibly disappointed with how things turned out with her :(

ahh i loved it! this song really does fit them, well it fits Lily. she has such a hard surface, but its only rufus who can break it. she knows this. you did really well matching the lyrics considering how hard they were. i couldnt think of better ways to match them, plus you used like every kiss of theirs which is exactly what i needed to see after recent events. its still very upsetting, but you remind me how many amzing scenes they have. very impressed. going to go watch it again! :)

(Part 3) I rewatched that episode recently, it's one of my favorites lol. "State I'm in" at 1:06 with her hugging him, her face, I really loved that. And all of her faces when she's in her pink wedding dress... there are too many great things too mention but let's just say I've already watched this twice and plan to watch it more in the future. You rocked this. ;) Keep up the amazing work! And I'll catch up on all of your vids soon lol.

(Part 2) I think your colorings lately have been better than ever. ;) The vo's were all really well chosen and placed - I loved the "Sweetest of words have the bitterest taste" one with him saying he loved her especially. 0:41-0:44 seemed like such a great lyric match... All of the "I've loved you from the start" matches with Rufus & his guitar and stuff and the black & white... ah so well done... I liked them in bed for "bodies"... I remember the Thanksgiving ep well & loved all those moments.

WOW. The emotion in this. I just ADORE this song and that probably helped a bit but it definitely helped that your editing was impeccable, you really kept up with all the little heavy beats of the song. I just felt the angst coursing through my body and kinda wanted to kill Lily & hug her at the same time lol because you showed her emotions and POV so well. As you know I don't remember all the little details and the context of all of the scenes too well but still I loved so many things in this!!

I think it's the writers who are on something lol. Bart took Bass Industries back from Chuck so I think Lily is doing this to get the company back, I can't see any other way for the whole thing to make sense. And yeah how messed up is Chuck's life? xD Thank you:D
