Salam walaikum brother, I have a question - did you have to learn how to beautify the recitation separately or did it come naturally through tajweed and memorisation?

I'm not answering for him, but giving a general answer. Some people do get teachers that teach them the Maqamaat (melodies of reciting). But most people learned to beautify their voice the "normal way," which is simple. Listening and practicing. You have to listen to hours and hours of proper Quran reciters. And once you listen a lot, you will be able to implement and imitate that melody that you heard so many times from the Quran you listened to. If you want more detail let me know. InShaAllah this helps

@@roeen. I see, Jazakallah for the reply. I’ve been wondering if it’s actually possible to beautify your voice or if it’s just a natural gift from Allah

@@warrior4133 Wa iyyak. Of course it is with the permission of Allah SWT, He blessed whom He wills, but yes nobody is born with a good recitation, it takes practice

@@warrior4133everyone can beautify their voice. Whats important is to adhere to tajweed and you will naturally find your flow/style (in terms of tone) . That was how i found mine and listening to various imams helps immensely with the different maqams where you would find what suits you best from there
