@@lollypoint5669 first of all hornet is 184cc not 200cc lol And hornet is 2valve air-cooled engine which is very old engine design Compression ratio is 9.5:1 which is very low than mt-15 Hornet has limiter in every gear which doesn't rev in redline ... It has only 5gears Mt-15 has 4 valve liquid cooled engine with vva which is quite modern engine design comparing to hornet2.0 And it has 6gears Compression ratio is higher So mt-15 has lot of advantages regarding engine ...so it's not big deal for engine to extract performance from this type of engine layout.... Eventhough mt-15 had more advantages the difference between these two in top-end is marginal 😂

@@gokzzz_ vva means variable valve actuation.The following information which I tell you is a little complicated so if you can't understand skip to the last sentence. If you know what valves are in a bike you might understand this easier. So initially whenever the bike is running below 7.5k rpm only two valves will stay open . Once you hit 7.5 k vva kicks in and all four valves in the bike open up so more air fuel mixture is available to create the controlled explosion inside the cylinder and that power is transferred to crank shaft. If you didn't understand all of that , bottom line is that due to this vva you get more power not only in low and mid but also in higher rpm which most bikes fail to do.

Both are for different purposes. Hornet is a city focussed bike, excellent low end and mid range, very agile, very crisp reaction to throttle , and all at a price you can buy and maintain. It's very cheap to maintain. MT is more track focussed and for high speed. Little more to maintain than Hornet . Only racers will really get to Kick the VVT at high speeds.

Riding hornet 2.0 from 2021, more than 30k kms , redline touch always, top speed 132kmph , mever faced heating issues, and on hilly roads of uttrakhand, r15 and mt 15 are not giving that much power delivery, that hornet 2.0 gives ...by the way every bike is best in itself ...🙂

* I have hornet 2016 model. * Mileage 50 kmpl * Service cost 500 Rs * Honda's engines quality are unmatchable. * Engine still feels like new. * Good bike for city use and long trips, u just have to get handle raiser or get a big handle for comfortable long rides. * Shockers are stiff, good for highways and good roads, but not for bad one's. * Occasional speeding is ok but u should avoid regular high speeding as its bad for engine and if u plan to keep the bike for longer period of time. * Companies launched 150cc to 250cc bikes to give u a feel of high speed drive, but their engines are not made for regular high speeding, if u do its engine life will be very short and high maintenance costs will be their.

No 6 th gear is not sufficient . You need higher compression ratio . If you have higher compression ratio then the bike should mandatoryly have liquid cooling. Wnd on top of that you need vva. That is how this hornet can beat mt 15 not only in race but also price coz this is 180 cc
