Prepare the yam
Wash the yam well, then cut it into large pieces while wearing cooking oil on your hands to avoid itching.
Cook the yam
Put the yam pieces, water, and some salt in a cooker and cook for one whistle.
Mash the yam
After cooking, cut the yam into small pieces and grind it in a mixer. You can also mash it with a masher or by hand.
Add other ingredients
Mix the mashed yam with an uboiled potato that has been grated, ginger, chat masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, bread crumbs, rice flour, and salt.
Shape and fry the kababs
Add lemon juice and mix well. Then, using lightly oiled hands, shape the mixture into kababs and coat them with bread crumbs. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the kababs until golden brown.
Serve
Serve the hot kababs with green chutney and onion slices.
You can substitute poha flour for rice flour and shallow fry the kababs instead of deep frying them.
