Great video as always! It’s been a while since I’ve seen a Charlie board win, just goes to show how tempo this meta truly is. Still think quillboars desperately need a change/buff, I would love it if they go more into the frenzy direction, it’s a unique mechanic that could easily be fleshed out a bit more and be made their main mechanic besides blood gems

I think its more because he doesnt want someone copying it thinking its needed for streaming. If he has a graphics card for running simulations on, its likely got far more graphics ram than any normal processor would need, and specialisations towards those workloads on the processing side as well. Think AMD Pro SSG or W6800. CPU's are also different, usually with a far higher core count and lower clock speed. Then the ram probably has ECC (error correction) which doubles or quadruples the cost, again for no gaming benefit. For example, I game on something most people would probably call a server, but its because I use it for work too. Would I recommend it for gaming? No, its pointless, no-one needs this many cores for video games, in combo with the motherboard and psu to support it you are paying 5x more (as well as gigantic energy bills) and in all honesty its maybe 10% worse than an i9 for gaming and general use. Its very very good at what I use it for, and plays games well enough that its not worth buying a dedicated machine. I imagine bofur is the same, probably with an even more specialised setup than me. Edit for clarity : Most games utilise 1-8 cores, so clock speed beats out core count massively. Certain software, usually involved in the creation of more software, utilises far more cores. CPU's with shitloads of cores are clocked lower, because otherwise they literally catch fire.

pretty much what Jake said. It's not that I'm keeping it confidential. It's all off-the-shelf hardware. It's just not optimized for gaming or streaming. Just a silly conversation to dive into without real value to the stream and definitely not helpful for someone trying to build a gaming rig lol
