Nice! I'm headed to Rockport for the 4th. Hope to head to Port A very early Friday and give the surf a try. Great video!

We are forecasted to have some calm mornings, little clarity and the surf may be hot! I planned on cruising the beach some, just watching the storms closely!

I fish exclusively CRB Blanks for my inshore and heavier bay setups! Never done me wrong and caught ALOT of fish on them.

Good stuff bro!! I haven’t had luck in the surf either!! Gonna give it a go next time I’m down in a few weeks!!

It typically gets better! Once these storms do their thing and we get some clean water, should be VERY good. My favorite time is August-October. Calmer winds and surf is filled with bait!

Nicely done! Some big sow bellies hanging round the surf for sure. I too never been real good at it. I like the tip to walk back when hooked up. I always get a kick outta the reactions from tourists when a shark gets brought up on the beach too funny.

Can you drive 2wd short bed pickup there or do you have 4 wd?
@KardiacOutdoors3 ай бұрын
@@ronnstone7023 man it really depends on the day. Sometimes it’s horrible with a ton of loose sand. Honestly, you would probably be fine with 2WD since there is typically a lot of traffic here. Someone will pull you out worse case scenario and you won’t be stranded.

37-39 is where we caught most the fish! There was more bait 70-90 but I didn’t try throwing croaker there!

Goodluck! Our mornings in Corpus are looking pretty good, just need to beat the crowds and hope the storm out in the gulf doesn’t come for us.

What size Kahle hook and weight? Good stuff.
@KardiacOutdoors5 ай бұрын
Thank you! I usually throw anywhere from a 3/0 to 5/0. Feel like the fish in the surf are typically always bigger so you can get away with a larger hook
