It looks like this was recommended to a lot of people. I hope you enjoyed the finals and the tourney! A good amount of people have been asking me on my Twitch when I'll be hosting another tourney like this. I plan on doing more but I am waiting for Momentum Mod to allow for races. What is Momentum Mod? It's a free standalone source movement game that mimics all the community game modes like surf, bhop, kz climb, TF2 rocket jump and sticky jump but with more robust features that a standalone game can provide. Apologies if this was explained in the earlier rounds but how exactly did map selection work? Feels kind of strange watching this and seeing so many of the surfers completely blindsided by the counterpicks. Was it from the complete KSF maplist, or was it a specially curated list for the event? If it wasn't the latter I feel it should be in the future, so the contestants could see which maps are possible in advance to get at least some amount of practice on them.

I think that surf competitions should have completely new maps that neither player have ever seen made specifically for the event, it would show the players skill more rather than the ability to just play certain maps better than the other person

KSF servers on CSS are the gold standard for surfing. Whenever surfers on any game (CSGO, TF2, Gmod, even Roblox) get good and want to compete against the best on the server with the best players, surftimer functions and standards, they move to CSS
